I don't know much about these two (macron & le pen) nor care much about france election.

But this macron guy married a woman who is like a quarter century older than him.
:wtf:
The hell is wrong with this dude?
The approval ratings of the current president increased when he had an affair while in office. He snuck out on a scooter to meet his lover.

They are French, that's all we need to know....

BTW will I get an 'affirmative action' discount when I visit France because of my brown ass? I heard French women are hot and are ready to do some nasty stuff!

They are a nation of cucks. Have no sympathy for them. When there is carnage in their streets, I'll pay for the privilege to join in like the movie 'The Purge'.

All your tears are delicious. It's good that France throwed Putin's puppet in the bin.
Je suis désolé, qu'avez-vous dit? Nos larmes sont délicieuses, ces mots doivent hante votre plus chère république, la meilleure des chances étant arabe

All the low educated over here forgot that a President needs a majority in the parliament to appoint a prime minister and rule the country. If there's a cohabitation, the President has limited powers.

I think that this is where the support for Le Pen is actually really high. I get the impression that the majority of the far-right voters in Europe don't expect the party to take on full control of government, but rather that it enters a collation with more centrist parties.

I expect that if LR manages to get a strong showing in the parliamentary elections, then we could see a grand collation between the far-right to center-right in parliament, with a centrist President, creating some sort of right-leaning prime-minister.

It will be interesting to see what happens with the parliamentary elections. The current poll show:

Media acts as an echo chamber for left socialist democrat voices. FN will be an independent player not parliament coalition partner. Get the institutions, then media, then government , then economy and finally military. Marxist playbook 101.

The 'establishment' media often leans towards the center-left socialist parties because the established organizations are mostly the products of socialism themselves (i.e. BBC), while the remaining left-wing media outlets tend to be more supportive of social democracy or communism.

The right-wing media outlets in Europe tend to vary between xenophobic nationalism, christian conservatism, and white nationalism, with some financial outlets catering for the neoliberal centrists.

There have been several far-right political parties throughout Europe that have entered collation governments with more centrist parties. I think there needs to be more right-wing media voices in order to be more inclusive of far-right voices.

IMHO Macron was elected only because voters wanna avoid what's been assumed as the worst (far right), not for his personal elegibility or propositions. The more frustrated French get this time, the smoother the way is paved for the far right to ascend to power eventually.

His party would have no parliamentary majority (probably), either to form coalition with the (crumbling) Socialist or the centre right. Thus the will to reform will be weakened. Pessimistically, another Hollande in the making.

One or two "wise" politicians can't stop France from decline.

It's French people who makes the call -
Why have France's labour reforms proved so contentious?

None of them want to lose their pound of flesh. Needless to mention muslim immigrants. Macron can't work wonders IMHO.

Funniest thing is Macron's economic policies are hardcore capitalist right wing and his national / defence policies are soft core left wing. By those metrics he is a european centre right.

Le Pen has anti capitalist isolationist socialist economic policies. Her National/Defence policies are hardcore right wing. This time she got 35% of vote. If Macron can't deal with Putin-Trump-Right Wing side and comes across as weak, then next time it is a shoo in for her.

I guess macron is living his teenage dream....
-that ONE teacher
-become investment banker
-finance minister
-now, the president of the country

all before the age of 40

he has money, power, and the love of his life (people have different choices....move on)

the guy is living out his dream....credit where it is due.

As for the leader elected....."In democracy the society gets the leader it deserves"...for good or bad.

The leader elected is a reflection of the society and its problems....so i guess immigration is not the biggest problem facing the french, rather it is the economy/unemployment, and the unemployment rate in France is very high,10% overall and ~25% youth unemployment rate......which is seriously very high.

anyways, that's my opinion.......share yours.

I dunno man, the more I look at and hear from the guy, the more he seems like Un Pappu Français.

France just missed out on electing their own Smriti Irani Le Pen, unfortunately.
