146 foreigner Rafale sales to be delivered in next 4-5 years.Only then will any deliveries be made to India. And thats of today and without taking into view the French deliveries.Rafale rate is 24/ year.

@BON PLAN can correct me if i am wrong.

So India will need to look at other options to augment fleet strength.

Yes buying a few squadrons of M2K will help but if we are looking for frontline fighters in Rafale capability and before 4 to 5 years, then we will need to look at other options.

F/A 18 or F15 EX may get the nod because the long queue for Rafales.

Why honestly why everything has to revolve around us , Just because we keep blabbering this bullshit of vasudavai kudubumkum doesn't mean the world is looking for our validation on anything and everything .

Emiratis have much closer tie with france than us , They have french airforce base in UAE since decade and they were using Mirage as old as we in IAF has . The deal was in cards for long time between F-35 and Rafale and Typhoon , I think it swung the french way after change in leadership in washington and future uncertainty with uncle sam administration .

At least they have biggers balls than us to go big once rather throwing piece meal orders and dreaming of arm twisting to share some techuuu knowl edgy to our govt babuns in the name of offset commitments .

UAE sale might be more influenced by Qatar sales. There's a silent cold war among Arabs for influence

1) that's exactly what I said. It's less of an Indian influence more of Qatar possibly given how they compete silently for the influence in Arab world
2) they don't have bigger balls, they have a bigger wallet full of forex reserves thanks to oil sales. Problems are definitely easier to solve when you have more money.
3) "arm twisting for technuulgy" is called negotiation- the same "arm twisting" has given us a lot of existing indigenous capabilities. (Although I would never defend the process in which it is done, it's mired with waste generation all around)

Relax, no one is seeking validation. But it is true that Egypt and Indian orders have increased the confidence for Rafales in international arms market.

I think they were looking for partner who can share F4 development cost and they found one good buyer with less freeloader population who has liberty to pay and get latest upgraded version . Now the F4 development cost is taken care off why would they even bother about India interested in F4 or not they got their investment and they will roll out the jets first for themselves and then for Emiratis.

I just hope our south block baboons didn't thought let someone pay for F4 and then we will arm twist froggies to sell those jets to us in priority basis . Can't say our baboons will surprise us with their socialist stingy crooky mindsets .

Is this F4 standard ? I read a report few days back that France is looking for buyers for F4 standard jets so they can start production for French AF and customer.

Wow you have so much confidence on our govt baboons to deliver on time . i would rather bet on dead horse than betting on these one lunch two punch baboons who are just fleecing govt every day for their retirement plans

French beauties everywhere i like it, though by that time tejas mk2 will get on the scene , so hopefully we won't need more imports

You almost nailed it apparently murican's want a big share of MRCA as exchange for letting S400 deal go without Caatsa and they are pitching F-18 & SH-18 Combo for both IAF and IN joint deal. So its mostly probably we will have only 36 Rafales and not more than that .

F/A 18 or F15 EX may get the nod because the long queue for Rafales.

Ya ya top level negotiation where someone who had invested decades of manpower and poured billions of $ into research for mastering jet engines should simply handover transfer of techuuuknowlogy because our baboobs promised them a big carrot of 114 jets and also they should be produced here by another set of baboons whose production man hour calculations are absolute insane who need to be fed freeloaders in the name of DPSU .

IAF 114 vs 80 UAE AF

1.Zero need to manufacture in UAE
2.No need to share your hard earned Jet engine techuuknowlgy to some 40 % brain baboons who will sit on it and do nothing
3.And no stupid off the book setting clause of routing payments to your favourite dalal's and first family

Why would french worry about a deal which has all these above 3 clause which gives them nothing apart from a stupid statement from MEA baboons who will say our fraansheep is older than wine and stronger than cheese cake and their president will get one fake hug from our leader

Macron came here with hope to get follow on order . What did we gave a big stick to suck saying we need more cooperation in reviving our dead engine tech so please share everything so that we will sit and scratch balls with those for another couple of more decades .

We get the exact treatment what we deserve globally which is arrogance without any substance . We won't give anything but we will need everything from your side . Why because we are vishwagurooo we are bigggg demoncracy bla bla

The UAE deal is for Rafale F4. F4 will take several years even to get certified. The development process will only be completed by 2025. Production will not happen before 2027. Most probably, UAE has also infused money for F4 development which is progressing slowly due to lack of finances

I thought 36 more Rafales were a given and then 114-36 F15EX or FA18 SH for IAF and INS.

The IAF hangar is like a menagerie.

And we at IAF are masters at missing the bus! M2K in the 80s, MMRA/MMCA whatever the f.k its called this week, C17 and now this!

But babus are like...

Civilians should never handle armed forces matters. The Defence Minister should have a single point contact for each of the forces without any Babu in the middle.

AK Antony did the biggest damage by doing nothing for a decade!!!

Nirmala did squat. Kadi ninda is well ninda master!!

Losing Parrikar was a massive blow. Ife he was around, I bet there would be no uncertainties at this point - follow on order for 36 Rafale would be in place and from then on it would be various flavors of home grown gravy. IAF dalals can shove it!
