Safran, HAL consider assembly of Rafale M88 engine in India
The French manufacturer Safran Aircraft Engines and the Indian aviation company Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to study the manufacturing of components and the assembly of the M88 engine designed by Safran in India. A transfer of technology is being considered.

That initiative would help power a potential second batch of Dassault Rafale fighter jets ordered for the Indian Air Force, or “any aircraft manufactured in India by HAL fitted with M88.” Indian authorities and their French counterparts are reportedly discussing an arms contract that could include a second batch of 36 Rafales.

Additionally, the agreement includes a partnership between HAL and Safran for the elaboration of the indigenous design of a 110 kN high thrust engine. Such a component could power the future Advance Medium Combat Aircraft [AMCA], a 5th generation fighter-bomber developed by HAL.

“Considering the country’s future requirement of fighter aircraft, this augurs well for self-reliance in the engine domain and also opens up possible opportunities for India to export,” commented Safran.

Well look at that rafale cut electric cables while flying at low altitude. i guess it was flying just few metres from the ground.

No, in a training for low flying. In a high G turn. Maybe a pilot mistake (because it seems that in that region of France it is only allowed to fly at 80 meters minimum. A inquiry is on course).
Uncle Sam is inviting our Rafales for Exercise Red Flag 🚩.

Kelly Worries F-35 Flying Costs Won’t Hit Target, and That China May Get NGAD First

Another one....
China does not have the capability to get a NGAD, without reverse engineering Russian stuff.

I think the last thing that lacks to chinese is modern fighter engine technology. For the rest (frame, electronic) they are making huges progress that last 10 to 15 years...

But they are not combat proven. So far.
They don’t have any combat experience so I don’t think they have enough data for real combat RCS, real combat stress and manoeuvres or real combat aerodynamics, they can never progress in engines without Russian help.

A country that is able to land a rover on the moon is able to produce a good and efficient fighter ! Never under estimate a potential ennemy, it may be your last big mistake.

China has a old habit to stole foreign know how. They are far from producing radical new design (as F22 on its time), but perfectly able to match mature design.
