There are plenty of radars can see the hostile jets from 1000kms away. And there are plenty of other mid-range defense systems can be deployed closer to the border, which are much cheaper and more mobility.

With 3 Mach speed, within 5 minutes, the missiles only fly 202 km. Your Su-30s have to come as close as 337km before release the missiles. In other words, Su-30 will have to enter the enemy's front air defense system first before doing anything.
Bramhos A is 400km+ range , bramhos ground has 450km+ operational range( 600km with less payload)
Scalp goes 600km totally stealth.

No one is coming any closer to your air defense. Also hq9 is a dud . If it worked you wouldn't need s400.

SU30 is a powerfull bird. No doubt.

the five AIM120 were fired from too long, far away the NEZ. It was only a counter measure, not something made with a kill in mind.
Some were pretty close and the bird was on ascend so not in commanding position.

Anyway it just shows how much Pakistan fears su30mki and now there fear is even higher.

They all were fired from 30-35miles ....
And the AMRAAM C5 NEZ is in the 10+ to 15- miles max. So against a fast moving and agile target it was an assured miss. This kind of missile at such a range is only efficient (at what extent?) against C17 or P8I target.

How did you calculate the NEZ of AMRAAM,as far as I know pakistanis fired AMRAAM at around 35k feet in the supersonic flight and indian aircrafts were at 15k feet, they tried their best to maximize the chances to hit but failed....

No calculation. Just the compilation of some datas here and there.
For exemple the NEZ of a Meteor is said to be >60km and 2.5 to 3 greater than those of AMRAAM C5 => NEZ of AMRAAM in the 20 to 25km, so 10+ to 15- miles....
But in fact no precise data, and as you said, the NEZ depends of the relative altitude of the fighter and the target and the speeds of each.

Real and precise NEZ are secrets datas. Even during training between ally (ie GB and French forces), the real datas are lowered....

It's all unclear.
1) Are the bombers M2000 or Rafale?
2) If Rafale (or M2000), they are french made, but unlikely french piloted....

Just wait some days.
But if it was french jets, it's a huge answer to the latest provocations of the Turk side (last one was the intimidation via radar targeting signal by a turkish frigate to avoid a french one to check the load of a Turkish cargo in route to Lybia some days ago....)

Meteor is an odd comparison,it will never be used for medium and short range targets...Rocket motors are more energetic in the short-med range engagement and their acc is way higher than the Ramjet ...it's true that meteor has extremely large nez but a lot depends upon launch altitude and other parameters and as far as I know indian Rafales with meteor is a said to engage targets at very long ranges...

you forget that S400 is not just a Radar but a whole Missile offence and defence system as well. Factor in the range of missiles and u have your answer.
S-400 is set up to protect the key military base, industrial cities, logistic centres, etc. It has nothing to do with its range. It is about the value and mobility.

Second part, even if i factor in your suggestion still they can be easily targeted. Such heavy system do not travel even 1 km in 3-5 minutes. moreover if terrain is not suitable, they are sitting ducks for like of brahmos.
Kid, it is very difficult for any supersonic missile to hit a moving small target on the land: there are too much noise for its seeker, and the missile itself is too fast to make extreme maneuve. Importantly, unlike the sea, there are too many obstacles on the ground, rocks, trees, valley, on and on.

There a lot of better and cheaper ways to destroy a single or a group of moving targets, such as long range rocket. Brahmos is not a weapon for everything.

Uncle,

That's One of the role can be performed by S 400 in defensive posture. I am talking of capabilities overall. why do i need a whole ADS to protect all these. I do have other option as well. The real role were S400 excels is in offensive roles...

Seems like uncle you need to brush up a lot on capabilities of what these supersonic missile offer, specifically one we have.

Google a Bit. clearly we have a generation gap and Ur memory have faded a lot.

On a french well informed media :

-The 8 dual seat Rafale are all produced, but will stay in France for pilot training (it's not perfectly clear.... ).
-At least 4 single seaters are produced so far. More probably 6, to be delivered at the end of this month.
-Some SCALP and Meteor alreday delivered, from a stock of french ones.
-The towed electronic support system is the X Guard, from Rafael.

It seems that the US was not really keen to urge some weapons delivery, following the recent crisis between India and China. It was not the case of Russia and France.... (not a good news for F21 and SH18...)

Nice piece but Astra is not yet part of Rafale weapons package :nono:

Hopefully Rafale will get a reconnaissance pod too.

Recently, the al-Watiya airbase in Libya was reportedly bombed by Rafale jets, which either belonged to France or Egypt, the two nations within the range of the base that possesses these (Rafale) aircraft, writes the Arab Weekly.
The report quoting its sources called the attack by Rafale jets as a response to Turkish Defence Minister Hulusi Akar’s visit to Libya.

The Turkish presence in Libya is highly undesirable to both Egypt and France and the former has even warned to intervene militarily in Libya if the Turkish-backed militias tried to head towards Sirte. France has also called the Turkish moves as “unacceptable,” emphasising that it would not permit this to continue.

But this recent airstrike on al-Watiya airbase reportedly by 4++ generation Rafale jets displayed that the boundaries in airspace differ from the boundaries on land drawn by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi. Indeed, basing fighter jets and drones in al-Watiya pose a direct threat to any military deployed in the region.
Sisi has discussed the possibility of directly intervening in Libya, pointing out that Egypt “will not allow the conflict in Libya to cross the Sirte line.” He also emphasised that “with regard to Egypt’s security, al-Jufra is a red line that we will not allow any force to cross.”
The Tripoli government accused “a foreign air force” of bombing al-Watiya base, without furnishing any information on the identity of the aircraft or the targets attacked. Even though Turkish and Qatari media rejected any casualties, the Libyan source, however, claimed that many Turkish soldiers were injured or dead in the airstrikes by Rafale jets.

A retired Libyan army officer revealed to Arab Weekly that a squadron of fighter planes launched a series of airstrikes on al-Watiya base, where Turkey had deployed F-16 aircraft, Bayraktar TB2 and Anka-S drones, backed by a MIM-23 Hawk air defence system with its radars.
He further said that the air raids targeted the al-Nadab quarters at al-Watiya base, which the Turkish forces on the base had used as their headquarters since last May. Also targeted were Sungur air defence systems, fixed and mobile radar installations and Koral signal jamming system, which the Ankara had deployed at al-Watiya base.
Libyan parliament member Ibrahim al-Darsi later acknowledged and “the airstrikes were launched by forces all too well-known to us,” and added that the targets of these attacks were “a clear message and constituted a strong and painful slap in the face of Turkish President Erdogan and his proxies in Libya, especially the militia government headed by Fayez al-Sarraj.”

According to this article lack of two way data link means the rafale won't be able to exploit the full capabilities of the meteor missile.
