A country that is able to land a rover on the moon is able to produce a good and efficient fighter ! Never under estimate a potential ennemy, it may be your last big mistake.

China has a old habit to stole foreign know how. They are far from producing radical new design (as F22 on its time), but perfectly able to match mature design.

Even we landed a rover on moon but it was a hard landing, anyways we reached mars at the first attempt, make aircraft carriers locally in India, making 5th gen aircraft locally in India yet are unable to make small srms indiGenously. China’s engine problems are bigger than their fuselage problems, do you seriously believe a Chinese company made up FC-31 on their own? Even Lockheed Martin and Boeing need sctive support of USAF and DARPA. Avic the maker of FC-31 Claimed they made it independently and PLAF has nothing to do with the project. So they rely on stolen tech only.

F35 is all but optimized. According to the own LM definition it fails to some 5th gen ettributes :
- not super cruising (because too fat).
- not agile (the F16 is the target, and F35 is smashed by a F16 with external tanks)
- Sensor fusion not operationnal (But it's only a matter of time.)

Just see what F35 can do today on air to ground mission : it can only release GPS guided bombs. ie it can't target a weapon on its own. A clue that all the electronic sub components are not dialoging together.
But I'm not afraid of that : it's only a question of time because they did it on other jet before (but maybe it's more difficult because the software is already 10 millions ligns heavy)

The full indian package will be released on all the fleet with the delivery of the last unit.
As for now it is between F3R and the full indian package.
We can say theat the indian fleet is at a "F3R+" level.
