I’d say most plausible outcome in post Kim J U era, is going to be that China is gonna create a polit bureau in NOKO which is a mirror image of CCP, sidelining the family forever.

just like how USSR used to prop up countries with policies mirroring its own

No, Chinese is not interested to get deeply involved in NOKO's internal political issue. If she does that, she will be responsible for 25m people's daily life.

South Korea is not West Germany either. West German wanted to unit East German at any cost while South Korea learned the German's lesson - unification with your poor brother is very expensive. They have no intention to pay for it.
