I am not underestimating JFT avionics at all. But you are one claiming that Rafale is a gen behind EFT, so you have got to prove it. IF you can't, you must leave the thread.

P&W's F135 gives thrust > 190KN which is employed in F-35, does this mean F-35 II is more maneuverable than EFT with combined after-burning thrust of 178KN ?
EFT was designed from ground up as an interceptor and super-cruise was a design feature where as Rafale was intended to be a multi-role fighter with a carrier version (one of the reason which led France to pursue their own development).

Price and UAE?..EFT is more expensive than Rafale
there are no exact figure but there are some figure which favour eft
Ofcourse rafale is better than gripen
We are talking about fighter jets not sabji..it will take time.but talk with france for rafale are already cancelled

Hey farhaan buddy i heard that Paf is goin for jf-17 and not buying j-10. the J-10 deal was sealed by parvez musharraf "mushy " as i call him in 2006 and should have inducted in pak af circa 2012 onwards ....got cancelled....is it true...Whats the reason......

thrust of ws-10g chck out on wiki or google it is being confirmed by chinese media
same question can i ask to those who underestimate jft avionics..using same argument because selex is known for its electronics base.out of reach of france

example is uae and other countries whom opted for gripen over rafale

1 JF 17 Block 1 is a DUD

2 JF 17 block 2 is just a hope and fantasy for PAF
chengdu aircraft corporation and KLIMOV who are promising RD 93 MA are taking PAKISTAN
for a ROYAL ride and

3 Chengdu has not made a TWO seat trainer so THIRD squadron of Block 1 is held up
Two seater will come up after 3 years

Gen KAYANI went to MOSCOW to personally REQUEST
for TWO THINGS

1 RD 93 OVERHAUL FACILITY inside Pakistan
Today PAF sends its RD 93 to China WHICH THEN sends them to Russia for overhauling

2 AL 31 engines to be ALLOWED to be RESOLD to PAF for J 10
No AL 31 means NO J 10 for Pakis

But General KAYANI was UNABLE to MATCH INDIAN MONEY BAGS

So BOTH requests turned down

it is not 100% confirmed though the
JFT III will be more of an medium weight fighter than light weight

they might have diverted the funds to jft III and rather a stealth aircraft in future than odd 36 j-10

3rd squadron was delayed due to conversion of pilots to jft.

as said will officially be raised in the first quarter of 2013

two seater is indeed a very big short coming but will be available within few years

pt-04 has been just recently sent to china and is being re-fitted with ws-13a

overhaul facility within grasp of PAC(we already over haul engines of many fighters including f-16)

and al-31 re export of kiyani to russia is a complete BS.if we really wanted to get j-10 with russian engines we would have requested them in 2009.

j-31 production variant will have ws-12/13 not rd93

rd-93ma will power jft in future

i guess you guys missed..work on JFT is completed in dec 2012.just to kick off the production

and i can also show you a picture of JFT in pak inventory with multiple ejectors even on the 2nd and 6 pylons(3rd and 5th already has)

which means JFT can carry in a2a mode

best for a2a with klj-7v2(150km+)

Ls-6 is not a dumb bomb.

Come on man, that bomb hasn't been deployed anywhere much less have any test footage. Why is that pod mounted on a heavy weapon's pylon. It only leaves room for ONE LGB.
