I was hoping that you should congratulate us but unfortunately you prefer to bshitting so what can I say:troll:
Yes, congratulations to China for continuing to make money off MIG-21 designs to this day, quite an impressive feat to convince nations to buy a super modernised version of a plane that first flew in the 1950s.

Congratulations to Pakistan for...........?

China, Pakistan upgrading fighter aircraft used against Indian Air Force: Report
The JF-17, or the FC-1, is a single-engine multi-role light fighter jet jointly developed by China and Pakistan for export, according to the website of the Aviation Industry Corporation of China.

China and Pakistan have begun upgrading their jointly developed JF-17 fighter jet, the current version of which was reportedly used by the Pakistan air force (PAF) in the dogfight against Indian fighter aircraft near the Line of Control (LoC) last month.

“The development and production of the JF-17 Block 3 are underway,” Yang Wei, a Chinese legislator and chief designer of the China-Pakistan co-developed fighter jet, was quoted as saying by the state media.

The F-16 was part of the two dozen fighter aircraft that PAF had scrambled during the dogfight with the IAF.

The current version is said to be a contender of India’s indigenously developed Tejas aircraft.

Yang added that the development and batch production for the JF-17 Block 3 aircraft were going on simultaneously.

“The third block will see the JF-17’s informatised warfare capability and weapons upgraded,” Yang said.

Pakistan, the main user of the JF-17, could further share information between the fighter and other platforms, taking advantage of the whole combat system to effectively defend against strong opponents like India, a military analyst Wei Dongxu was quoted as saying.

Wei explained how the upgraded version would be put to use against the IAF.

“JF-17 Block 3 is expected to be fitted with an active electronically scanned array radar, which can gather more information in combat, enabling the fighter jet to engage from a farther range and attack multiple targets at the same time. A helmet-mounted display and sight system could also allow pilots to aim whatever he sees,” Wei said.

Once the new upgrades are ready, they can be fitted on the airframe very fast, ensuring a quick delivery time, Wei added.

According to the tabloid, the JF-17 is often described by its manufacturer and military observers as an advanced but also a cost-effective fighter.

“It is currently contending with India’s Tejas and South Korea’s FA-50 in Malaysia’s new fighter jet purchase plan, with the JF-17 being the most competitive option,” Wei said.

Myanmar and Nigeria have reportedly purchased the Chinese-Pakistani warplane.

So the Chinese say the current version of JF-17 is a contender or Tejas MK-1. And further down the chinese says JF-17 Block 3 will get HMSD and Data Link.

Do Chinese know Tejas MK-1 has HMSD and data link since ages? Apart from an AESA what else that JF-17 block 3 is getting which Tejas MK-1 does not have already?

Tejas MK-1 is a composite skin 4 channel FCS. Does JF-17 have those feature an essential in any 4.5 gen fighter?

RCS of this blunder would be like 10 times of tejas MK 1 , Mk 1A with super powerful elta or Uttam would shoot it like Mosquitoes from the sky....

Yes he did. There are 2 Wei quotted in the original article Yang Wei and Wei Dongxu - it may get perplexing if not sourced properly from original article. Nobody is making stuff up.

A JF-17 fighter jet attached to the Pakistan Air Force flies towards the designated airspace during an air-to-ground offensive operation drill conducted by two Chinese JH-7 fighter bombers and two Pakistani JF-17 fighter jets on Sept. 20, 2017, which is part of the "Shaheen VI " joint training exercise launched by the air forces of China and Pakistan on Sept. 8 and scheduled to conclude on Sept. 27, 2017. The development and production of the JF-17 Block 3 are underway, said Yang Wei, a Chinese legislator and chief designer of the China-Pakistan co-developed fighter jet, as he aims to enhance the jet's informatized warfare capability and weapons.

"All related work is being carried out," said Yang at a Thursday press conference featuring Chinese legislators and political advisers in aviation, China Aviation News reported Friday.

The third block will see the JF-17's informatized warfare capability and weapons upgraded, Yang said.

Wei Dongxu, a Beijing-based military analyst, told the Global Times on Monday that the JF-17 Block 3 is expected to be fitted with an active electronically scanned array radar, which can gather more information in combat, enabling the fighter jet to engage from a farther range and attack multiple targets at the same time. A helmet-mounted display and sight system could also allow pilots to aim whatever he sees.

Pakistan, the main user of the JF-17, could further share information between the fighter and other platforms, taking advantage of the whole combat system to effectively defend against strong opponents like India, Wei said.

With the new upgrade, Wei expects the JF-17 Block 3 to match an improved version of the F-16 fighter jet.

Yang said that the development and batch production for the JF-17 Block 3 are going simultaneously, thanks to the broad experience.

Wei said this probably means while the upgrades like the new AESA radar are still in development, the airframe, which remains roughly the same, can be manufactured without waiting.

Once new developments are complete, they can be fitted on the airframe very fast, ensuring a quick delivery time, Wei said.

The JF-17, or the FC-1, is a single-engine multi-role light fighter jet jointly developed by China and Pakistan for export, according to the website of the Aviation Industry Corporation of China.

When asked about which countries have inquired about the JF-17 Block 3, Yang said "A lot of countries have come to buy. You sign [a contract for the JF-17], you benefit."

The JF-17 is often described by its manufacturer and military observers as an advanced but also cost-effective fighter. It is currently contending with India's Tejas and South Korea's FA-50 in Malaysia's new fighter jet purchase plan, with the JF-17 being the most competitive option, Wei said.

BTW Tejas MK1A has the ELTA 2052 AESA radar. So blunder just lost another advantage!
Not entirely they have better payload improvement and range improvement (mk1 foc with refule prob make macth but X1 bk2 also have it) rather than this all weapons from single country of origin make the weapon diversity and time for integration less, where we have to dpend OEM for that ( recent metor saga X1 have pl15 as equllent there but only in X1 bk3 )

What alphabet soup you have written! Tejas MK1A and MK1 in FOC has refuelling probe by Cobham. Improvements are given for BLK 3 as only AESA, HMDS and data link, 2/3 Tejas already has. AESA will soon be integrated with MK1A.

I begg to differ becoz in aug blk3 make first flight but it needs to get foc afterwards if airframe same as jf17 with no structure improvement then blk3 needs 6 months least to pass foc, if there is airframe change then need least 1.5 yrs to validate the foc also initial production rate will be max 16 becoz it won't be same jigs as used for blk1 and blk2 even their max production rate was 20 per yr

LOL...loads of stupid statements from time to time...

block1&2

the two competitor for Block 3 project, and the the second one from AVIC group is more like for the BLOCK1/2 MLU

and a 3-antenna configure layout of KLJ-7A derivative...for the future Blocks

If paf choose kl-7a its significant improvement for X1, becoz 3 antenaa configuration where mk1a AESA don't have 3 antenna config, but made up by simultaneous multi mode operation, also I think X1 AESA have little bit improved scan range

when it flys, you will know ...and not too much aerodynamic changes actually. and the so called 'manufacture thing' is not big deal for China side at all ,CAC manufactured the prototypes and the Serial Productions jets as well... you might be able to see something in common with the two seaters trainer design.

I have strong speculation the blk3 will be X1 b version improvement but agin abt foc and manufacturing yep China is World role model for fast production even though X1 b now in test stages even with4.5 like enhancement it need least 1 yr to pass FOC ones FOC passed China can chrun out foc blk3 frames fast but asembly In PAK wont be same as China, recent Myanmar X1 are examples for that

AESA consists of T/R modules acting as multiple antenna at the same time. This 3 antenna thing is Chinese mumbo jumbo.

BTW M1A has an integrated EW suit as well.

India’s state-owned Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) concluded a deal on October 26 with Israel Aerospace Industries (IAI) subsidiary Elta Systems for the purchase of 83 ELM-2052 active electronically scanned array (AESA) radars and ELL-8222WB electronic warfare (EW) suites to be integrated with the Mark-IA Tejas Light Combat Aircraft (LCA), according to local media reports.
