First of all, IFF is not a radar mode
Secondly, it only helps to keep track of your own aircrafts, it doesn't help you to distinguish a target on the radar, that doesn't give away other signals to ID it. Civil airliners have transponders, to ID themselves to air traffic controllers, if that transponder fails, you have an unidentified target and send out fighters to ID or engage it if necessary.
Do you understand how IFF works!!??

If so can you explain it!!??

Or you simply don't understand how AWACS works.

Let's say you have a property with 4 sides. The front side is guarded by a well trained men, who makes a round to check on all sides once every hour.
But the problem is, he can't watch over all 4 sides of the at the same time, which is why you need more men, to either station them at all sides, or to increase the rotation shifts.

By the same logic, it doesn't matter how capable your AWACS is, if you don't have the numbers to cover all areas at the same time! Currently we don't even have the numbers to cover the western border alone 24/7, let alone covering the NE at the same time too in a 2 front war (why do you think IAF requires at least 15 AWACS?).

PAF only has 1 land border / airspace to cover, has higher number of aircrafts, to provide more rotations (and probably gets even more before we get the 2 more Phalcons) => which means they have better AWACS coverage!
That is one reason why India is wary of two front war at present.

But there is no need to turn on the discussion towards irrelevant fact.

When I said about capability, right now the no 50 sqd of IAF is more then enough for no 4 and 13 sqd of PAF. You see where the capability matters. Even MKI could act as mini AEW&C and its there on paper. When you talk about two front war, even India could do the same with Pakistan and I am not talking about using Afghanistan or Iran.

But anyway lets not get derailed from the thread and stick to JF-17 instead. Although I think there is nothing to discuss here.

Indian forces are worried about a 2 front scenario for quiet some time and also about the increased capabilities of our enemies, it's the political side, that can't or won't keep up with the demand.

And I didn't stated irrelevant facts, but made you understand how AWACS cab benefit a force, if available in proper numbers, to make you understand, why the combination of JF17 and AWACS, is a huge benefit for PAF.

o_O Numbers are not = to capability, let alone combat tactics.

Even MKI could act as mini AEW&C and its there on paper.
Mini AWACS is a tactics, not a capability of a specific fighter! Even an LCA that guides a Mig 21 with it's larger radar would be a mini AWACS, because all that means us, that you use radar and com or data links to share your radar data.

Taking numbers on paper, or the simple bias that everything Pak or China has must be inferior to our western techs, doesn't make you understand the operational advantages and disadvantages of air combat.

JF-17 will be performing in the RADOM AIRSHOW 2018.

Oh boy, can we surprise the pakis like we did back in 2016 during the Bahrain Airshow.
Say that we are going to participate in the airshow at the very last minute and either watch as PAF cowers again or they don't back down this time around and we finally get to see Tejas outperform JF-17.

If only our LSPs weren't so busy.

is it so evident that Tejas outperform JF17 ? The sole video I've seen about JF17 agility was not bad

Good news.

43% of each JF-17 is manufactured by Chengdu Aviation Corporation. The middle and rear fuselages are made in China.

So much for the Pride of Pakistan. And the only airforce to design and make its own aircrafts.

it seems that in this case, serial production airplanes with odd ordinal numbers(FY+serial number) are from PAC assembly line

the even numbers from CAC assembly line

LOL....it seems some common sense in the aviation field is still lacked here.

Haha.....Not everyone in forum is a aviation expert, so it wouldn't be wise to be counted under "common sense".

So 6 aircrafts delivered?

Pakistan all set to sell three JF-17 aircraft to Nigeria

Pakistan on Wednesday go ahead with sale of three JF-17 Thunder aircraft— a lightweight, single-engine, multi-role combat fighter jet—to African country Nigeria for a sum of $184.3 million.

As per details acquired, the Economic Coordination Committee has approved summary of issuance of a certificate of sovereign guarantee in this regard.

The summary was tabled by Ministry of Defence.

It is pertinent here to mention that as many as six JF-17 aircraft have been exported to Myanmar also.

The PAC JF-17 Thunder, or CAC FC-1 Xiaolong, is a lightweight, single-engine, multi-role combat aircraft developed jointly by the Pakistan Aeronautical Complex and the Chengdu Aircraft Corporation of China.
------------------

it seems that the total sum is paid with three installment in 3 years...so one jet per year.
