Finally again a clearer image of the J-20AS (?) twin-seater prototype no. 2031 and it got its grey camouflage in the meantime. Also noteworthy, now it is clear that like all J-20A single setaers it is powered by WS-10C engines. (Image via @航空EXIA from Weibo)

These cartoons predicted a lot of military AC developments, especially of the J-20, that proved truth.

You have mentioned the term 'Ventral Fins'. I have pointed out 2 Pictures of the J-20. Are the Marked parts in these pictures as what you term to be 'Ventral Fins'?(the Parts marked in red squares)

Yes, if you look at the cartoon those fins are gone.

I guess now ventral fins will be removed from J-29 in the future and thrust vectoring engine will be added(This is a good thing in reducing the RCS of the Aircraft to some extent)

Or Maybe they might retain both the ventral fins and the Thrust vectoring engine.

According to local rumors, latest image shows that J-20 with WS-15 TVC nozzles (Emei) engines is being tested. WS-15 turbofan is the Chinese’s latest jet engine developed for the 5th Generation fighter J-20. It has about 180 kN power.

Chinese are becoming humorous. Tao jet is a big grey man robot. Quite the joke.
Watched a few clips of that Great Wall movie...Matt Damon character was in Grey...SAVE China. Gandalf in Grey...save the white city from the nothing wasteland desert people. LOL nope don't see a hero coming to save the worthy "good" people.
