I would believe when i see the bird fly
you are right but dont you think same thing for india well fact is both country are growingPeople here seem to forget 2 important facts:
(1) China is loaded moneywise,
(2) China is full of bright and ambitious young(born in the 1980s) people who are now the mainstream of Chinese air and space industry.
Some of these people are simply genius and hard-working too.
Time will prove that the next 5 years shall witness the arriving of lots of lethal goodies in India's northern neighbour.
Because thats how the Chinese do...How come such a secret project is out in the open to all rag-tag paparazzis?
If this is now out in open....why would CCP not launch an official video of this jet flying and tell the world from where have they sourced the engines? Has MIG helped them?
What type of electronics, radars, avionic will it have, atleast in the wake of Chinese desperately lagging behind in each of these fields?
J-20 HUD!
PAK-FA HUD!
nice works of otaku~
China has a history of copying things. So I wouldn't be surprised it resembles things rom 1.44, PAK-FA prototypes, F-22, and (F-35 whose files were actually hacked by chinese hackers.) There is no reason to believe MIG had ANY involvement in this.judging fromt he initial pictures experts have made comments and i ahve read them soemthing that stands out majorly is this :-
1>The prototype features a pair of all-moving tailfins and Russian 1.44 style ventral stabilizing fins, which shield the engine nozzles.
The bolded part has no basis what so ever, how can you say by looking at the rear of an engine and call it xx or xx engine.2> Russian assistance has been in terms of software support for calculating the RCS of various designs, as well as the rumored supply of Salyut 99M2 turbofan engine (14,000kg class) to power the prototypes.
Both the russian program and the chinese program is too early to speculate on which one with be better but comparing the graphics experts have their own diverse views , what we are interested is that the chinese stealth fighter program does not revolve roud this single model ,prototype and to transform the paramerts of the desigans and work on paper to reality will take a lot of time and help and this help might already be there in the form of erstwhile aviation giants MIG.
What's seen on the J-20's tails are PLAAF's roundel. Nothing related to MIG.The red star which has proudly been the hallmark of mig over the ages now sits on the tails of the J-20 and the co-incidence is too obvious for the naked eye , as times grow in a closed chinese media you will still find out how the J-20 started out from the seeds of a an erstwhile giant in aviation industry known as the MIG.
on CCTV intervews, Chinese VIP military expert expressed their openly belittling on Russia's PAKFA and F35...Almost same..
...............................
[well, the maiden flight might have been finished not in Chengdu at all.
Perhaps. If the first flight has already happened and this is only a PR stunt, then why do we not see the supposed first flight even after 12 days after pics were released. PR stunts are great, but at least the Russians showed a flying prototype rather than having the T-50 warm the tarmac as we see in the J-20.Something I need to point out is the authority is definitely capable of conducting a flight test without anyone knowing it beforehand. We are able to see this pictures all because CCP wants us to see. Therefore, just because no neutral observers confirm that doesn't mean it didn't happen.
Prototype number 2001. It is a designation.why it says 2001 ???
Extrapolation comes after we see the bird flying with high quality pictures. As of now nobody knows what the bird is even meant for. Is it a Tech Demonstrator only, is it a strike bird, is it an air superiority fighter, is it a recce plane or is it just a mock up of what's coming?so the other articles playing down the capabilities of the J-20 are not much of an extrapolation? They are all based on thorough analyses and examinations of all the facts available and have absolutely nothing to do with pure speculations?

because it is normal practice for countries to be aware of each others capabilities. Quality has got nothing to do with it...*Wake up from the dreams people, thing thing is real. If the Indian government believed China can't make a quality product, why would it bother ordering a study on it???
Why didn't the Indian Government order a study on the JF-17, J-11, J-10, ETC. Those are claimed by China/Pakistan as pretty potent fighters.because it is normal practice for countries to be aware of each others capabilities. Quality has got nothing to do with it...

To people's surprise, the VIP expert is also Rear Admiral Zhang ZhaoZhong, who once comforted openly the international community that "Chinese next G bird will be just a modified J10" last year.
