The J-20A currently produced now is equivalent to Type 052C. Being built at a rate several times more than the initial variant.

But once the WS-15 engine is inducted, then J-20 will enter the 052D phase and production will ramp up even more. There are reported to be four production lines ready and also reports that J-10 production is being moved from Chengdu to Guizhou. The WS-15 was reported to have been tested on a J-20 earlier this month.

An aircraft is difficult to test unless there is war, and even loses do not mean anything unless you have the whole picture.

I mean there is no point to claim a loss mean an aircraft is bad, a downed Su-34 or more does not mean Su-34 is a bad aircraft, the point is aircraft should achieve political goals, J-20 hardly has been tested in war, say good or bad things about it are mostly conjectures.

Some People think that just because an aircraft is shot down by an Enemy then it is "bad"/"useless"/"Junk" etc.

Aircrafts like MiG-29s, F-16s, F/A-18s, F-15s etc have all faced several combat losses but that doesn't mean that they are bad/Junk/useless.

In any given conflict, both parties/sides face losses in some way or the other. In a full fledged war between two nations, losses will obviously endured by either side.
