Yah, it did seem a bit long between the first test flight in 2016, which landed in the water( as planned) and this current one! Let's hope the subsequent flights are more frequent!
Next one is Orbital mission on top of GSLV, that GSLV won't have Cryo Stage

Yes, there are plans for fully reusable launch vehicle, 1st stage will be retro propulsion landing just like Falcon9 & 2nd stage will be our winged RLV which we tested today.....most probably that vehicle will be for Strategic Applications, not commercial

What would be definitely Indian made/indigenous, and what is imported. Would the radar altimeter be imported.
Even the F-35 had Chinese manufactured parts..

This is a tech demo. It doesn't make sense to reinvent the wheel again and again when commercial options exist. The most important thing is that all crucial elements are available, and we have them available.

If we get too focused on import/indigenous, then we will lose sight of the product. It's like you're trying to make a website in python, so instead of importing django you're making your own web framework from scratch, ultimately you will end up losing sight of the goal - make a website, not a web framework.
