What about IDRSS?

We can use foreign satellites for the 1st unmanned mission. I guess IDRSS-1 will be launched this year, while IDRSS-2 next year. Let's wait until the Annual Report is released

They won't risk launching IDRSS on GSLV II till it has next two consecutive successful launches.
Though the way they are in haste, I agree that they may not shy away from using any foreign systems for communication now.
BJP would love to acquire browny points for elections in early 2024. At least sending humans in space would garner some more attention than Chandrayaan-2, simps have already started to publish rubbish like "Can Modi become the Kennedy of India?".

#PSLV_C52 Mission!!
India started final preparations for it's #first space mission in 2022.
The EOS-4 aka #RISAT-1A (New and old nomenclature) already reached SDSC, Sriharikota from UR Rao Satellite Centre in Bangalore using a specialised vertical transport container. Probably the new RISAT-1A will act as a replacement satellite for the retired RISAT-1 satellite, which mysteriously stopped working after unknown reasons.
The new indigenously built X- band SAR mounted satellite is classified as a earth observation satellite(EOS) having a resolution of less than 0.5m and able to take pictures even in adverse weather conditions!

Does anyone have any info on the turbopump design and status ?
For a closed cycle engine like the sce 200 that would be the hardest to make .. If this turbopump can survive in oxygen rich combustion making things like the Kaveri hot stage would be trivial .

I completely disagree .. if "criticism" from a few jahil morons is too hard to handle forget about ever progressing in anything.
A closed cycle engine is peak engineering, if they get this right it would up there among the best engines in the world. I was so happy to hear that ISRO is attempting this .. it should be an inspiration for every science enthusiast in our country .
However I suspect (my speculation)that secrecy is due to Ukraines involvement which they probably wanna keep hush hush to avoid dealing with MCTR issues .

Guys, unfortunately there won't be unmanned Gaganyaan this year

1st mission will be in early 2023
2nd Mission will be in late 2023
manned mission will be some time in 2024, most likely late 2024.

Personally ,I don't even believe this time line, manned flight may be slipped to early or mid 2026 in my opinion

I feel conflicted about the constant shifting of the timeline.

From 2021 to 2022 to 2023 and now 2024 which i am 90% sure will shift further to 2025-26.

Chandrayaan-3 planned later this year now. Gaganyaan, probably coz of being a more complex mission (or the haste for LPEM), has been dropped for two years.
