I don’t think Iran might even last as a country for too long. The ethnic Persian birth rate is close to 1, while the sunni kurds, azeris and balochis have much higher birth rates and have a dislike for the shia mullahs. Not to mention all these are different ethnic groups and want their own countries. Too Many internal saboteurs.

He is an idiot just like other hardliners in the Netanyahu Govt. People like Ben Gvir, Lieberman etc need to realize the days of unconditional western support is over. Europe is already lost to leftist-islamists and US has begun the same journey. You really don't want to p1ss off your biggest benefactor. Besides, moving 2.2m Gazans to Egypt or Syria or Jordan is a non-starter, none of those countries want them.

Wake up whom and how? The younger generation has not now or ever been pro-Israel, however until the millennial generation, the young people were turning more conservative once they crossed 30, and many who were not necessarily pro-Israel, grew older understanding the need to counter terrorism in all forms and supported Israel's right to exist. That all changed with millenials and GenZ in the west, due to social media prevalence and partisan politics, younger people now hold binary opinions and see everything from the perspective of "oppressor" and the "oppressed", and the islamists have been very successful in tapping into this phenomenon.

Hardliners in Israel are only strengthening the incorrect belief left leaning people in the west, especially the young, hold that Israel is the oppressor and a colonizing force. It does not make for good optics when you see Haredis spit on muslims or Christians in Jerusalem, or farms and houses of Palestinians are takenover by violent settlers in the west bank.

All things aside, Ben Gvir and his like are not making Netanyahu's life any easier, either domestically or internationally.

I mentioned in another thread, S.Africa is like Pakistan of the African Continent. Its GDP has flatlined for more than a decade, it has over 35% unemployment, struggles with rampant serious crimes and infrastructure issues, and despite all the domestic problems it is high on virtue signalling while failing to meet the basic needs of its large improverished population.

Egypt would invade Israel if Israel ever attempt this and Egypt won't stop unless Israel pledges and that means US will step in and tell Israel to back down in order to get Egypt to stand down.
