The whole of HAMAS leadership is under threat of annihilation with incorrect strategy of killing Civilians in Israel and taking hundreds as hostages. The strategy has failed with vicious Israeli attack, who is determined to eliminate all of Hamas. Israel has almost succeeded. Only a few more days and HAMAS is all over in Gaza Strip.

What has HAMAS gained in this fight?….. It has gained nothing. …… Rather it has signed its death warrants. Some of the hostages will die in the firefight as Israeli troops close and destroy all the tunnels. Soon it would be Israeli victory.

Had Israel not reacted as viciously as did then it would have been Muslim / Palestinian victory? The latter would have rejoiced it as its victory and start of Muslim resurgence wherever they wished. India and Kashmir would have been their next target. Now they will settle down as losers.

Thank you Israel that you defeated the HAMAS to the extent of its elimination. Now leftist in the West who were very vocal in Palestinian causes would also settle down to think rationally.

That is not how muslims think. For them just the fact that they inflicted injuries and deaths on non-believers and they lived to fight for another day in itself is considerede a victory. This is no different than how Pakis think despite repeated defeats, a motheaten economy and rampant violence within their country. The fact that Pakistan exists, and that they can continue to needle India when possible is considered a "victory"! Christine Fair (for all the flak she deserves) once compared the Pakistani mentality to 'Monty Python - The black knight' skit in which the black knight continues to deny and ignore his injuries despite losing all his limbs!

As for the Hamas leadership, they are safe in Doha and Tehran, and given the state of the west, in future they'll probably move to DC or NY or London for greener scenery. The only way for Israel to buy itself some peace is by completely controlling the Gaza coastline and the Rafah crossing, but the US and its cronies will never agree to it.
