Human intelligence is the key to knowing your enemies intentions. Israel probably downgraded that aspect in last 5-10 years, which gave rifle carrying Hamas an advantage. They came to shoot civilians not fight And they succeeded. Electronic intelligence should supplement human intelligence but not primary.

‘If you need an example of how electronic intelligence could be misleading then read about the current spat between Canada and India. The 5 Eyes Intelligence Alliance network is mostly electronic. It misread a low level electronic conversation and passed on the info to Trudeau of Canada. Trudeau getting low in local polls jumped on the opportunity to start a fight and build a vote bank of Khalistanis.

‘’That electronic intelligence mislead both 5 Eyes as well as Trudeau. Now he has nowhere to turn. With no evidence, and still his opposition in Canada rejecting his fight with India has lost it all. Now Trudeau has nowhere to turn. His loss in elections in 2025 is guaranteed.

Moral of the story is that do not rely too much on electronic intelligence.

Just this week Arab jihadists killed 1300+ African origin musalmaan in Sudan. Entire areas of that country has been transformed into killing fields. Not a peep from OIC, Arab league or any Musalmaan countries. So much for the ummah eh.
It is not a secret that Arabs and the Islamic world has been paying lips service when it comes to Palestinians. They want to throw some money at it and hope it would die down temporarily.

What is bothersome is how some Indians sitting on their moral high horses, pretend like they care. This Priyanka Gandhi; did she every take the silver spoon off her mouth to think what it takes to provide the security and freedom so that she can blabber whatever comes to her thick head? Has she ever shown any gratitude to the Jawans who gladly give up their lives for the country?

Makes sense to not spread too thin. Especially with Biden going a little wobbly in his support.
Hezbollah is mostly posturing. They're in no mood to commit mass suicide even if Iran would want them to.

If you recall during the 2006 hostilities when they took a few Israeli soldiers hostage apart from killing a few in their usual border raids & rocket attacks so typical of what we face from our western neighbour in Kashmir , the Israelis grew increasingly fed up particularly after their unilateral withdrawal from Lebanon which was criticised then & more so later as a myopic move , moved in all guns blazing & basically destroyed most of the infrastructure built since the devastating civil war apart from killing more than 1000 civilians + Hezbollah fighters.

Nasrallah went on record much later saying he never expected the Israelis to react so fiercely . Apart from this , Hezbollah received much criticism from groups within Lebanon including political parties & the government for provoking such an armed confrontation with devastating results. That war still weighs heavily on Hezbollah's mind which may explain their current reticence . I believe Israel's playing it's own mind games too. Or at least that's my reading of it .

I fail to understand in the light of the above how & why was that particular war seen as a failure by international observers & within Israel itself. Hezbollah as is their wont declared victory basically harking back to that old philosophy of survival in itself is victory for them & their ilk , ground results notwithstanding whereas any defeat of the enemy however tactical or minor is a disaster visited upon the enemy.

Any similarities in the philosophy & SOP with our BFF are purely coincidental .

Another funny thing is, Iran funds and trains both Sunni Hamas and Shia Hezbollah. Once Iran found out the level of ferocious response from Israel against Hamas, they are not committing to putting their necks out to save their Sunni Hamas bothers.
