A few days earlier I remember a post from @Sanglamorre he wrote in Kolkata every kid is politically aware and what not. Whereas kids from other places of India they are not aware of anything. I would like to point out just one thing. It's kind of a embarrassing. Even the kids who are aware of politics & what's nots since childhood. And yet they are able to vote for every wrong person, every wrong party, every single time.

The whole narrative is spinned by the Kolkata based media in such as way that if you point out any problem or loopholes of these sickular elites they will automatically spin it to hating Bengalis as a whole.

But this is also true that times are changing people are becoming aware of this due to the digital revolution. If you step outside Kolkata you will see Bengalis are are good. There is a reason in 2019 and 2021 BJP didn't win alright but they were able to take giant leaps without any root level party infrastructure. Which in other states or areas of India would had been impossible.

Agreed. I meet and socialize with people like this almost daily. Growing up, the newspapers used to portray this social class as the mavericks spearheading new Bengali culture. Makes me feel sad now as a Bengali myself.

This is true. I've long wanted Kolkata to be isolated from rest of West Bengal. It is a cancer affecting rest of Bengal while being a cesspool itself.

While what @blue Water said is true, that they've manage to select the wrong party everytime is true, but I'll still stand behind that they're politically aware. It's another thing that they're a mix of Muslims and commies that pick the anti Hindu options.

He is also right about how they try to spin criticisms as anti Bengali. Most astounding example of this has to be how many TV channels keep saying BJP/Axom govt has "Bengali hatred" instead of saying they're trying to kick Bangladeshi out.

Kolkata needs to be excused for Bengal to heal.

I agree with you . There are at least a dozen bengalis here & all of them seem demented. Has to be so if they're going against the grain. For all you know they may conform to established political norms outside but in the anonymity of the net find it in themselves to express their true political leanings.
