Is it fair to say it has eroded a bit now?

Some points to check here.

1. The Jewish lobby did not check their hold with the frequency that they should have. They should have tested their old a couple of years back during the pandemic
2. The US lost significant global influence due to the war in Ukraine, by provoking Russia and pushing half the world into poverty and super-inflation
3. Israel's mistake of liberalizing work permits for Fail-estinian terrorists gave Hamas a perfect opportunity to send recon teams inside disguised as workers - this is like allowing Islamists to join DRDO/NTRO etc., assuming that economic well-being would satiate Muslims

Israelis are making the same mistake that we Indians are well known to make. Considering the shitty neighbourhood that they are in, they should be banning all left-leaning liberal entities from their soil. Instead, they demonstrate with a rainbow version of the Israeli flag in every other protest, undermining the writ of the state.

This one. Each time something like the supreme court power issue happens, Israel weakens. They cannot afford to be weak and that is the problem.

Bolded is the biggest mistake sane societies make when dealing with barbarians (in our case Islamists)- they assume that their enemy is also sane to a degree and wants the same things in life as they do. So they keep mollycoddling, trying to satiate the enemy, trying to ascribe a logical motive to the terror. We Indians have been doing this mistake since a 1000 years and still haven't learned. The west has started doing the same mistake, but at a far accelerated timeline.

How many stories have we heard, from across the globe, of islamists biting the hand that feeds them, killing or helping in killing individuals who treated them as family, gave them jobs, help, food and what not?
