Not sure, what the Israeli strategy here is. What ensures that a significant part of Hamas is also not relocating to South Gaza. They are not stupid to make all Hamas cadres sitting ducks in North Gaza. To me it appears they are just creating an excuse to flatten half of Gaza!

That's exactly the strategy. Can't stand if the ground beneath your feet gets taken away. After Gaza is sorted, they'll do the same in west bank.

Incremental invasion. Once north is taken… all the tunnels will be sealed.
push little by little… Make Hamas to come at IDF, while Airstrikes will keep them bleeding.

Gaza will be flattened… goal is to inflict much destruction is possible. If Israel completely takes Gaza it would be better ask PLO and Egypt in colab with Israel make sure Hamas elements are taken cared of.

Israel will drag this war for months. It will be a nightmare to try to take Gaza within days or weeks. So they will conquer inch by inch slowly over months. In all these events happening, Iran is going to get ass whopping from US and Israel once Gaza action is over. Before this they were only cyber attacks against Iranian nuclear facilities and covert attacks against their scientists, but they are going turn the notch up and take on Iran and give them a world of pain. Iranian population is waiting for a opportunity to overthrow Ayotollah regime. There will be a attempt at regime change soon in Iran before 2025.
