You are dreaming if the terrorist scums would have let go 233 hostages just based on Doha's nudging without getting anything in return! Hamas will demand thousands of prisoners released and billions in compensation. Netanyahu may not be a peacenik but he has lived in Israel all his life and he understands the arab mentality better than Biden. Hard as it may sound, i think other than a handful of hostages, the fates of the rest are probably sealed at this point. I just hope Iran does something stupid that would take the war to the steps of Al Thanis sitting pretty in Doha.
Qatar is playing a very dangerous game. Al Thanis in their megalomania are too high on natural gas it seems. Making enemies with Israel/KSA/UAE/India and wishing it all away due to some US base is not a viable long term strategy. In 20 years Israel will still be around, India would have a massive economy, MIC & power projection capability. It'll end badly for them if India decides to play long term.

Al Jazeera: Blinken has asked Doha to get Al Jazeera to tone down its rhetorics that is whipping up a major anti-Israel frenzy across the Islamic world. The Amercians are afraid some of the Pharaohs could be in danger of being toppled.

They should drop a couple of big ones on Doha and then say sorry, it was a mistake, just to teach these sand monkeys a lesson not to play double games.

I am fine with Blinken's demands, but the West should realize there has to be a limit to the "freedom of expression" and it does not always apply to everybody in every occasion.

So, Biden argued with Israelis to hold off on the attack so that Qatar and others can continue the hostage negotiations with Hamas.

Netanyahu argued a full fledged and ruthless attack is what will force Hamas to come to the "real" negotiations without playing their usual games of releasing one or two at a time.

While Al Jazeera was busy announcing how close Qatar has come to getting hostages released, Netanyahu let loose his dogs of war.
Netanyahu has come off incredibly weak since this incident despite having all the political capital possible (domestically) to act, clearly foreign capitals have pressured him

not dissimilar to how Indian PMs always seem to be ‘tamed’ after every external aggression, makes you wonder what pressure points CIA/US deep state has
