They are also having trouble equipping that many..
I also read that they only have around 1000 Merkava 4's and 3's to mobilize, which is around how many centurions they had during the yom kippur war when they were almost overrun. That may not be so relevant for counter terror, but it's very relevant for a conventional scenario when/if the Arab countries try their luck again. And in that scenario, they would also need 400-500k soldiers, which we're now seeing they're not able to kit out properly, and they're making Indian Army style emergency purchases. The IDF seems to have neglected conventional ground capability over the past decade, concentrating too much on just air power and counter terror.

Lets not forget many people on the day and day after the massacre of 10/7 said the Hamas attack is a diversion for a much larger attack from Iran and Hezbollah. It is not without reason Israel called up almost half a million reservists, the attack from Lebanon may come as soon as Israel enters Gaza, best to be ready in the north and just continue to pulverize Gaza. As for the pipedreams of placing a PA govt in Gaza, that is only possible if you take care of the scumbags sitting in Doha.
The longer the Israel waited, harder it will take to deal with HAMAS as too many actors are involved. Hence after so much death and destruction Israel is back to square one. …… Wait for next attack.

IDF strikes in Lebanon after Hezbollah, Hamas rocket barrage on North

Israeli security forces struck targets in southern Lebanon after a barrage of approximately 30 rockets was fired into Israel.

The IDF identified the sources of the six rocket launches which triggered alerts in the Western Galilee on Thursday. Five of them landed in open areas and the sixth was successfully intercepted.

After the IDF announced it was striking targets in Lebanon, the IDF issued an order for residents of Rosh Hanikra and Hanita to get inside and lock the doors of their homes.

Later on, following several more rocket barrages, the IDF announced that it had identified about 20 distinct rocket launches from Lebanese territory into Israel on Thursday afternoon.

As a result, there were reports of rocket fall in Kiryat Shmona, with Magen David Adom reporting three people injured. One was a 75-year-old who was in moderate condition with a head injury, a 30-year-old and a 5-year-old who are both in mild condition.

Hamas's military wing took responsibility late Thursday afternoon for approximately 30 rockets that had been fired into Israel's north from Lebanon, according to Israeli media. This was after Hezbollah took responsibility for the initial barrages.

Rocket fall in Sderot
At the same time, rocket sirens were heard in Sderot and other Gaza border communities. The Sderot municipality reported that there were at least two instances of fallen rockets or shrapnel in the city. One hit a car and the other hit an open area in a residential neighborhood. There were no injuries.

Do they really have a choice ? Given the situation in the global arena.
It is virtually impossible that an attack of this scale could have been carried out by Humus without the backing of at least one major power and the guarantee (promise) that it would ally/support a regional power to expand the conflict.
It's just a coincidence that the arms sanctions against Iran expired yesterday (or soon), so Uncle Vladimir, in full compliance with international treaties and the UN Charter and Resolutions, will be able to sell/make gifts of all conventional weapons to Iran. He has a plenty of reason to do so, given the billions of dollar and arms given by the West to Ukraine. No one can do shit or give moral lessons to him.
After this weekend, it's all but stalemate.

This kind of backtracking will ALWAYS come back to bite you when dealing with muzzies.
There should be an established policy regarding mullas that be proactive, not reactive. Get them in the silence of night before they get you in broad daylight.
Keep shaving their numbers regularly. Like Baloch and Telibunnies are doing to the greatest army on earth, the right hand of Ola, the protector of Pisslam, the Porkistan Army. Even PA's mighty MMS division failed to stop these attacks.

Of course, I'll not blame them. But I blame the US.
Yesterday's overbearing remarks by the United States at the Security Council did not help matters. As Jaishankar would say, wake up and smell the fresh coffee of the day, Yankees !

USA is going to have a difficult time keeping the status quo and making Israel happy.
Having enemies as allies is going to prove to be a juggling act.

Turkey-Israel
Turkey-Greece
India-Pakistan
Ukraine-Poland

and the list goes on , cracks already developing and US led organizations like NATO,UN
are already starting to be irrelevant.

Yep. Christians and Muslims are supposed to hate Jews due to some scripture thing.
Odin "worshipping" whitey LARPers also hate jooz because of you know Autrian painter man ideology.

it's reversed now christians and jews hate muslims. Catholics for centuries
believed jews were responsible for killing jesus christ.
But they were, he forgave them, that's that.

but jews still remain snakes.

Only this time they biting Muslims instead of other goyim so it's great.
