IDF strikes in Lebanon after Hezbollah, Hamas rocket barrage on North
Israeli security forces struck targets in southern Lebanon after a
barrage of approximately 30 rockets was fired into Israel.
The IDF identified the sources of the six rocket launches which triggered alerts in the Western Galilee on Thursday. Five of them landed in open areas and the sixth was
successfully intercepted.
After the IDF announced it was striking targets in Lebanon, the IDF issued an order for residents of Rosh Hanikra and Hanita to get inside and lock the doors of their homes.
Later on, following several more rocket barrages, the IDF announced that it had identified about 20 distinct rocket launches from Lebanese territory into Israel on Thursday afternoon.
As a result, there were reports of rocket fall in Kiryat Shmona, with Magen David Adom reporting three people injured. One was a 75-year-old who was in moderate condition with a head injury, a 30-year-old and a 5-year-old who are both in mild condition.

Hamas's military wing took responsibility late Thursday afternoon for approximately 30 rockets that had been fired into Israel's north from Lebanon, according to Israeli media. This was after Hezbollah took responsibility for the initial barrages.
Rocket fall in Sderot
At the same time, rocket sirens were heard in Sderot and other
Gaza border communities. The Sderot municipality reported that there were at least two instances of fallen rockets or shrapnel in the city. One hit a car and the other hit an open area in a residential neighborhood. There were no injuries.
