Israelis are no fools. They understand military tactics well. They will enter Gaza to approximately locate areas where tunnels are linked and dispersed. They will mark the area and quickly retreat. Rest will be done by American made bunker buster bombs. These will penetrate and lay waste the tunnels upto 50 feet deep.

The unfortunate part is that the HAMAS may have dispersed the hostages all over the area. Who cares for HAMAS casualties. It is the hostages they have to worry about. Some will die in this melee, that is the unfortunate part of it.

Once Israeli determination to destroy HAMAS in underground tunnel is known then HAMAS instead of committing suicide in a bombing campaign; they will come out and fight or simply surrender. All remaining hostages will be released then.

All the forgoing will not happen until first bunker buster bomb hits the area.
