Hezbollah bombed the site - destroyed obs tower and radar. but didnt capture it .

both sides have strange understandings like india-china on LAC . most likely Israel left the site and let Hezbollah bomb it.

Few observations from the last few days -

a. when it comes to organizational ability, mobility, PR and playing the victim, the Muslim community is second to none.
b. While "ummah" doesn't transcend economic, defense, social or cultural boundaries between islamic nations, it sure transcends everything when muslims are a minority.
c. In one of the most confusing ideological marriages, the left continues to carry water for the islamists, while the later are very antithesis to the fundamental ethos of progressiveness and social liberalism.
d. Western Europe is a lost cause. While both its citizens and its politicians continue to pander to rabid islamism and claim Russia is their greatest threat, the next war will be a bloody civil war between muslims and non-muslims across Europe.
e. US has benefited immensely from it geographical location, stricter immigration and law and order. But as US begins to slip socially and ideologically, as politicians, district attorneys, judges and even police chiefs abandon reasoning and common sense for "diversity and equity", US will become accustomed to low level islamic violence. The massive crowds in Chicago, DC and SF were an absolute eye opener how much this nation has changed in the last 20 yrs.

Israel, i am afraid, is living on borrowed time. They either have to become 4x-5x their current size both in land and population or prepare for a day when the barbarians from all sides will be at the gate. I think in another 50-75 yrs we will see Israel seize to exist unless something dramatically changes in the ME. As US weakens internally, so will be its will to support Israel.
