Do you think Indian intelligence is aduequate for the current threats??

I think we have decent human intelligence on Paki army, ISI and some of the Jihadis (Kashmiri and Taliban) in Pakistan. But not enough to cover a number of small and medium Jihadis that go off script.

Remember, how we caught Musharaff giving orders during Kargil? Now that is not human but still very impressive. There are people who claim US helped us then.

Me thinks we are very are completely inadequate with China. But nobody is adequate when it comes to China.

Our borders with pakistan are heavily monitored and not that easy to cross into, which makes the scale of tragedy much less.

That is the worst case scenario for us.

Such things should be considered treason inviting nothing less than death sentence and life imprisonment as well as depriving the family of the perpetrator of ant gov benefit and right to vote.

I am trying to make a broader point here. think most people do not understand nature of Islam or Islamists. If we continue to deal with them as we deal with sane people, we will always lose. We might win the battles but Islam will win the war. People have to realize that a Muslim does not live for this life. He is always living for the promises of after life. So any sanctions, any immediate retribution, even death does not bother him as he goes through all this for Jannat.

While most people including Jews want peace & hence tend to become complacent after a period of peace, Islamists are ready to be perpetually at war. They will let a Modi come & go, wait for Israel to become a soft state, wait for US to lose its dominance ..and then strike back. They are ready to be in poverty, misery, fear, extreme violence for decades/generations. More importantly they do not mind the sacrificial cost of a human life.

The only antidote is to fight Islam (not just radical Islam as both are just sides of same coin) , is to make it illegal, undesirable, unacceptable in a civilized society. No half measures will solve this problem

We need Thermal imaging and CIWS with 35-40 mm airburst rounds every 1 km. Security forces needs to make this order ASAP.
