How every one is positioning. Interested only by those who clearly support Israel and those who call on UN resolution and the creation of 2 States. I count only countries who have military or/and economic power.
1) Clear support for Israel : US, EU, India, France, Germany, Brits, Nato... some more.
2) Call for creation of 2 States : Russia, China, KSA, Qatar etc... and some more.
The jury is still out, the majority of statement calls for restraints of both parties, respect of civilian lives and usual blabla...

That's precisely the point that the States that I mentioned in the second category in my list want to demonstrate.. They are forcing their hands in terminating the world order born post WWII and post Soviet Union collapse. But it cant be done without some firecrackers...the Day is still young, statements coming from the list II emanates from low level officials, MSM show restraints...and at some degree even Israel shows restraint. There must be some powerful handler behind Hamas in addition to it's usual one (Iran, Qatar, Turkey). I doubt this is for invading Lebanon. It's probably for keeping a good defensive line on Golan and Lebanese border.

Tanks are still very potent weapons on open terrain.

Israel wouldn't attack any country right now. They're probably just going to maintain a defensive perimeter and wreck Gaza. I don't know how they will tackle the population there. Killing all of them is a stretch. Flooding Egypt with refugees might force Egypt to respond militarily.

Israel might unintentionally give us a rough blueprint to imitate in PoK, should it be captured.

It depends on where the conflict is and to what extent the enemy has caused damage. It took more or less 1 month for the Indian army to begin a large enough offensive in Kargil, full mobilization would've taken place more or less 1 week max-to-max before that but that was with very meagre border infrastructure unlike the quite decent ones we have today. We may not take 1 month anymore but I doubt we will be as quick as Israel has been now if another Kargil like conflict arises. However, if it is something like what Hamas unleashed yesterday, the public outrage would be much higher and thereby there would be greater pressure on the government meaning more pressure on army top brass to take action which might result in a little bit more quicker mobilization but I don't think it still would be as quick as Israel did now.

I got no dreams on this one, US simply has no weight beyong CIA induced color crap that only exists because governments are tolerating them....beyond that their hardpower is chicken shit now as seen in Ukraine and even Iran retaliates at will.....full war this time with Arab world will force Israel to use its nukes. Uncle will be disrobed totally if more is demanded from them and world will see how hollowed out US is really....Israel will get some to refill stocks later, airforce is only usedful to some extent here.

US from Bill Clinton was the beginning of the end of empire's power.....results are slowly but unambiguously clear. ISrael should partner with India for production rates, that is the only way for them to have supply guarantees.
