Israel-Palestine clash: India's experience in resolving long conflicts can help Benjamin Netanyahu in unequal power dynamics

“We can continue to fight. We can continue to kill – and continue to be killed. But we can also try to put a stop to this never-ending cycle of blood. We can also give peace a chance” - Yitzak Rabin

Hardliners on both sides especially Bibi obviously don’t want to be seen to move towards peace.

Wonder how increasing Modi’s friendship with Israel will bring about our sitting on the wall approach towards this conflict. MEA continues to avoid taking sides.

While KL leaders edited FB posts to ‘suit’ muslim electorate, wonder if BJP leadership will be bold enough to brand palestenians as ‘terrorists’.

Black's are doing it wrong aligning with Radicals should be the last thing anyone should do but hey we love to cry for the sake of it because we live in our own utopian world, why people don't understand war is the truth of this world which will never fade.

Blacks are always used as “useful idiots” in the mullah/leftist fight against the civilized world.

Mouthpiece doesn't know when their population will increase the subsaharans will be bullied with as will be the whites, they especially the Arabs (along with the Chinese) considers the subsaharans as subhumans with subhuman intelligence, they are treated equal in America they should thank the American government instead of shilling against it

This guy has it backwards. India is the one who needs to learn from Israel here.

:hmm: Read the article

Yitzhak Rabin was the Israeli Chief of Operations of the underground Palmach (commando ‘strike force’) in the 1948 Arab-Israeli War, later as the Chief of the General Staff in 1964 he oversaw the stunning Israeli victory in the 1967 Six-Day War.

Yet, it was Rabin who drove the Oslo Accords, recognised the Palestine Liberation Organisation (PLO) and granted it partial control over Gaza Strip and West Bank. The right-wing parties like Likud (led by current Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu) within Israel and the Palestinian group Hamas had bitterly opposed Rabin’s rapprochement. The battle-hardened warrior turned politician had said, “We can continue to fight. We can continue to kill – and continue to be killed. But we can also try to put a stop to this never-ending cycle of blood. We can also give peace a chance”.

Both Israel and India are home to some of the world’s longest-running insurgencies, except that India has the rare success of ending some seemingly intractable insurgencies, most notably in Mizoram, Assam and Punjab. Despite the global fascination and awe of the patented Israeli ‘muscularity’ of its body politic and sovereign instinct, the Israeli track record in resolving the Palestinian insurgency is an unmitigated failure, despite its irony commitment towards blunt force and expansionism (barring the few years surrounding the Oslo Accords.

Bibi is a dirt bag , he will set fire to Israel and Gaza just so he can remain in power.

Read it already. A Muslim insurgency can't be equated with the others mentioned herein. This is a pathetic attempt to draw a false equivalence. The degree of intractability is much higher in the case of the former due to said intractability stemming directly from Al Qitab.

What no one will tell you in today’s politically correct world is that when you use FORCE, you need to go all out for the kill to reach a permanent solution eg. genocide the entire population or change their ideology.

The reason for Israel’s failure isn’t because they used force, it is because they never used enough force to reach a permanent solution.

If mass scale culling of terrorists leads to a society devolving into Civil War, said system (society) was in an unstable equilibrium and the civil war is what will return the system to a more natural, stable state.

To our credit we have avoided 'expansionism' accusations that israel faces....
it’s not mudi that needs a lesson here, it’s the rest of the political class in India.

If you watch the interviews, everybody is on same page including people who are eyeing bibi’s post. In our case one easy question from BBC/CNN, a Congressi/Aaptard will not even think for a second to undermine India’s position. This has happened so many times in past 6 years. reverse is not true, BJP spokesperson will not undermine India’s position in international forum when they are not in power.

in kashmir, which is an integral part of our country, we have not grabbed land, built walls or created hindu settlements by grabbing lands. anyone who wants hindus out of kashmir using violent means becomes a terrorist to be put down ruthlessly.

in palestine, natives are constantly losing land , resources and freedoms due to jewish settlements that go against earlier oslo agreements. there will be resentment among the natives... some of that resentment gets hijacked by violent elements like hamas. i cant imagine living in spaces that gets continuously squeezed into an ever shrinking home state. where do these ppl go who once inhabited the entire land mass and got butt fucked by english-tanis?
