You completely ignore the first Arab Israeli war where Israel won and took the western part of jerusalem and other parts of palestine. The west bank and Gaza were still with palestine.

Then after a few years the Arab world again decides to attack Israel in what we know as the 6 day war they lose again badly yada yada but this time something different happens Israel occupies both Gaza and west bank as the victors of the war.

Then PLO was formed and they laid claim to the entire state said no Israeli state should exist attacked Israel which led Israel to attack Lebanon in 1982. Then the first intifada happens.

So now what you have is a very disgruntled and scared population in Israel which simply does not believe in palestine or the arab world and starts to move into west bank which was still under Israeli control after their victory in the war.

It is now that we come to the oslo accords but by the time they are signed the political spectrum has completely changed with the Israeli public and politicians treating west bank as fair game since they lost.

So what is the conclusion here?

Palestine fought no 1 but 2 wars with the sole aim to destroy Israel lost both of them and now complains about being occupied when all they could have done was not fight.

Israeli settlements only popped up in west bank after the 6 day war not before. palestine In their aim of trying to capture the entire state lost what they had and changed the political spectrum so much that Israeli population's mindset completely shifted to occupying and creating buffer zones wherever they can.

Nobody will just return land or resources to you out of some goodwill or humanity that is not how geopolitics work.
