Maybe it's surrounding Arab neighbors but I highly doubt they're even aimed at Saudi Arabia & co. let alone Europe.
Oh yes they are, you just don't know about it. I suggest you read this book called The Samson Option: Israel's Nuclear Arsenal and American Foreign Policy by Seymour M. Hersh. He was the one who first broke this story.

I will just post a few statements which should be proof enough:

Martin Van Creveld, a prominent professor of military history at the prestigious Hebrew University in Jerusalem, told a Dutch magazine the following in 2002: "We possess several hundred atomic warheads and rockets and can launch them at targets in all directions, perhaps even at Rome. Most European capitals are targets for our air force. Let me quote General Moshe Dayan: 'Israel must be like a mad dog, too dangerous to bother.' I consider it all hopeless at this point. We shall have to try to prevent things from coming to that, if at all possible. Our armed forces, however, are not the thirtieth strongest in the world, but rather the second or third. We have the capability to take the world down with us. And I can assure you that that will happen before Israel goes under."

In 2002, David D. Perlmutter, a professor of Mass Communication at Louisiana State University and a senior fellow at the Reilly Center for Media & Public Affairs, wrote the following in a Los Angeles Times op-ed: ”What would serve the Jew-hating world better in repayment for thousands of years of massacres but a Nuclear Winter. Or invite all those tut-tutting European statesmen and peace activists to join us in the ovens?”

Pamela Geller wrote in her blog: ”Israel is essential. And I pray dearly that in the ungodly event that Tehran or its jihadi proxies (Hez’ballah, Hamas etc) target Israel with a nuke, that she retaliate with everything she has at Tehran, Mecca, and Medina….Not to mention Europe. They exterminated all their Jews, but that wasn’t enough. Those monsters then went on to import the next generation of Jew killers.”

And this is not limited to academics and bloggers. Numerous prominent journalists and news outlets have reported the willingness of Israeli leaders to invoke the Samson Option. Alan Hart interviewed Golda Meir for the BBC’s Panorama programme in April 1971 and asked her “Prime Minister … You are saying that if ever Israel was in danger of being defeated on the battlefield, it would be prepared to take the region and even the whole world down with it?” Meir replied “Yes, that’s exactly what I am saying.”

Prime Minister Begin used information provided by Jewish-American spy Jonathan Pollard to target Soviet cities. Ariel Sharon, Moshe Dayan, Yitzhak Shamir, Shimon Peres, and others have made public comments in support of the idea of using Israel’s nuclear arsenal to blackmail the world.

Blinken just said that the US and Israel were considering options outside negotiations in order to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.

Iran must be stopped from going nuclear at all cost. If the US fails here then the whole Middle East will go nuclear. Just imagine the prospect of crazy Saudis having nukes...?

For India it does nt matter if middle east go nuclear . We have a pakistan with nuclear weapon on our border which happens to be a failed state with full of proxy actors . So nothing is worse than that .. Iran , saudi so far not enemy country for India .. And my opinion is saudi establishment is more sane headed .

Middle-east will go nuclear either way. In case they have to see the faces of Russia and China since US is unfriendly, only more enemies for US will be there.

US is no longer a global dominator. At least not in Asia. And it's denial to acknowledge its decline will only weaken it further.

Unlike Africa and Latin America, Asian nations are highly populated, militarised, partially industrialised states with nationalistic populations undergoing psychological, technological, economic and political changes like Europe in 19th and 20th century. So, resulting cold wars and arms races (or maybe a third world war) will ensure that no absolute superpower like US or USSR survives for rest of century. The issues US is facing are just mere heat of those changes.

There will be so many great powers of every tier at every level soon like era between world wars.

Saudis already have nukes confidentially. Besides the US umbrella, they have acquired ballistic missile tech and nukes from abroad long ago.
That's why Iran is so desperate at first place.

I don't care about "crazy Iranians or Saudis" getting nukes. The US should be the last country to complain after basically arming Iran's enemy, Israel with nukes and giving them a ton of military equipment and aid to this day.

USA in any case is a Zionist puppet who exist for the bidding of Israel. They invaded Iraq, killed millions of people on Israel's insistence that there were weapons of "mass delusion". Found nothing to this day.

And today, Israel, neocon warmongers and lapdogs are again giving justifications for invading Iran on the excuse that it is on the verge of introducing the very weapons to the Middle East that Israel itself deployed long ago.

Well, do what you like. From an Indian perspective, we don't particularly care about Iran or Saudi Arabia getting nukes.

MAD will not work if nukes are dispersed among smaller (and sometimes unstable) countries. Also, there's greater danger that rouge actors can get their hands on nukes from smaller unstable nuke armed countries. And there's no place teeming with dangerous charcters than the ME.

The US did not arm Israel. On the contrary the US tried hard to stop Israel from getting nuke test. Israel and US relationship got so tense at one point during Kennedy's time.

It was the French tgat helped Israel in nuke tech.

Clearly you know nothing about Zalman Shapiro and the situation at NUMEC. Read up on it. It is an undisputed fact that the US helped to arm Israel with nuclear weapons. And now it hypocritically expects Israel's enemies from not developing their own.

If you don't know about it, then like I said, read about NUMEC and the US diversion of weapons grade uranium into the Israeli Nuclear weapons program by Grant F. Smith.

There is a reason for USA support for Israel . They are seen as the last fort of USA in oil rich middle east if everything falls apart . They are also most important for USA national security by helping them in intelligence gathering in troubled regions .

And there is no reason as a Indian to take anti israle stand . Israle is a imp and trusted ally of India .
I am seeing some young Indians are coping American christian right wing's anti jew propaganda these days . Just like Indian left copy everything from west ...
We are in no position to take sides here .

Saudis have acquired ballistic missiles from China and nukes have been proliferated from Pak.

It doesn't really matter countries with weak or incompetent administration are going to use nukes properly or not for security.

There are a lot countries who wish to acquire nukes and there are a lot who wish to proliferate nukes. There are a lot with nuclear reactors capable of producing fissile material. All the nuclear powers emerged after 1990s like Pakistan, Israel or North Korea and now Iran are products of similar foreign assistance + US ignorance if not assistance at that time for its interests.

It can't be dragged for long. Very soon, a large number of countries in eastern world will be unannihilatable by US due to their growing militaries and economies. Great & regional powers in Asia will push US out sooner or later. World is heading towards a far more ferocious world war.
Iran is an important factor in middle east and US is unnecessarily killing its own prospects by making enemy out of Iran. They are firmly in Russia-China block.

I am seeing some young Indians are coping American
India's left-wing has been anti-Israel for long for their pro-Islamic and anti-native natures. They equate Hindus ~ Jews.

Indian right-wing is pro-Israel with same template and as usual, Indian governments have a middle path.

Intelligence gathering for what exactly? For the tens of thousands of civilians killed in drone assassinations? The insurgents that they fund themselves to create instability in the region? Have you never wondered why ISIS, this supposedly "pure" Islamic group commits attacks in every Islamic country in the Middle East, except for the ONE country that is supposed to be the enemy of the Islamists? Ever wondered how did Hamas get originated? Surely Israel won't help in creating Hamas itself, right? You might wanna read about that, it's pretty interesting.

There is no such thing as a "trusted" ally, that's Number 1. Every country, especially Abrahamic ones only care about their communities, at the detriment of others. If you somehow think that Israelis, Abrahamics themselves somehow see us better than Sullas, who are also Abrahamics, you are completely wrong. It should be a matter of concern for us to be dependent on Israel, on any other country for that matter, for military equipment or R&D or anything else.

Is this not a perfect basis for blackmail? By being so dependent on one country for stuff, we are basically enslaving ourselves to their interests. Whatever interests that country might be trying to promote is what we would have to establish in our own, in exchange for equipment, technology etc. Whose interests would ultimately be served if every technology or equipment we have in our country is courtesy of some other nation?

Again, there is no "trusted" ally. If we want to thrive, we have to have a system of autarky. Today, it's the Middle East countries who are refusing to fall prey to Western degenerate ideals and consequently are getting invaded. Do you think that the West will spare us tomorrow? If we decide to oppose Western ideals or degenerate nonsense or take some action that is "anti-democratic" according to the West, what makes you so confident that we won't be invaded?

Also, if you think that Israel is just our friend, you need to think again. Do you think that Israel has not been helping China economically against the USA and MILITARILY by helping their Navy? Do you think Israel did not fund the Mujahedeen in Afghanistan against the Soviet Union? Do you think Israel was not instrumental in the creation of Hamas, so that it could serve as an example of why the West has to provide aid to Israel? Do you think that Israel has not been helping to fund ISIS to take down Assad and planting fake stories about Assad using chemical weapons?

Israel is a smart country. They are not emotionally blind to fawn and drool over us, like we do towards them. We are simply another front which can be helpful to their interests. Just like China, Saudi Arabia, Turkey and the rest of them. A friend to all is a friend to none.

Plus, which right wing are you talking about? The right-wing in America loves Israel, any wing in America does. If you oppose them, you are done. Ever seen any right-wing Republican politician criticize them? Exactly.

There is no "copying" or anything. The lesson to be learnt here is that there is a Far-Left Islamist nexus that hates Israel. Then there's the right wing in almost all countries that simps for Israel, and Israel plays both of them.

Our ideal approach is to USE them, not fawn over them. They are simply another potential economic and military partner. That's it. Our relationship ought to be transactional, not idolatry. Again, do not forget that a lot of the terrorist organizations you see in the Middle East are funded by the Mossad themselves. Israel is powerful enough to make America invade other countries and kill millions for its purposes.

Plus, you should also read about the Samson Option. Israel's nukes are not pointed just towards "Islamist" countries, but all across the world. European cities, capitals etc. If Israel gets defeated in a conventional war, they will launch nukes all over the world. The idea is to force Western countries, indeed almost every country to help them in a conventional war, because if they don't and Israel loses, nukes will be launched at every corner of the world. You think that these are the actions of a "friend" and "trusted" ally?

We need to stop simping for them, and not hate them too like those stupid Islamist Muzzies. We need to gain whatever we can from them, without committing ourselves to them too much.

I apready discussed this issue several months in one of the threads here. The US did not help or unable Israel to acquire nukes. The historical data was discussed in several batches of investigative report by Hareetz citing declassified US and Israeli documents from the 1960s.

Upon reflection, the U.S. failure to discover Dimona’s underlying secrets – that it was, as the authors of this artice have argued in the past, a military project and that there was a secret plutonium plant – was practically unavoidable. U.S. intelligence had not detected the scope of the French-Israeli deal. Policymakers avoided going to the mat for the sake of a comprehensive inspection. Moreover, Washington failed to understand Israel’s national security culture. That is, the U.S. government did not comprehend that Israel was so committed to the nuclear project that it was willing to wage a complex operation to see it through.

The US is not a proliferator. Just look at how tipid it is in even supplying nuclear propulsion tech even to its closest allies. France is more the proliferator having helped Israel developed its nuclear technology.

As to Iran, the clash is only between US and the Iranian Islamic regime. Most Iraniana want better ties with the US and the US would reciprocate if not for the Iranian regime.

For political reasons, let's just assume that the Iranian people do not matter here. When faced government to government, the US will consider only what the Iranian Ayatollah regime does.

The US is still hoping it can get rid of the Ayatollah and go back to pre-Ayatollah US-Iran strategic alliance.

Americans and Europeans wont allow defeat of Israel. Doing so would mean the end of Xtianity and would erase all of their cultural history as history of their God resides in there.
As far as Iran is concerned, it remains the last Shia country to be invaded after Syria and Iraq and the leader of Shia crescent.
