Due to policies of USA we have lost every influence in Iran and gave it away to China . following article on new developments .

Iran is ready to meet India's energy security needs through Rupee-rial trade mechanism #ukrainwar

Iran ready to meet India's energy needs, Tehran envoy tells New Delhi | Reuters

someone needs to tell USA to compartmentalize indo pacific and see it separate from policies in Europe and gulf .
Neo-liberal globalists don't compartmentalize. To them, it is either complete allegiance or complete enmity. That's how they colonized the world earlier in different European empires.

This is relevant for the modern US where the neo-liberal, pro-colonial elites rule the country's establishment (not the phony democrat/republican divide), media, academia, intelligensia & narrative.

Trump was an exception and our ties did radically improve under him. But he himself didn't last very long, did he? Sure, there are friendly lobbies there as well that can be called center-right conservatives. Those guys are good and see the potential of a commercially driven but strategic interests kind relationship with us. But they are a minority in US politics.

Till neo-Liberal, pro-colonial globalists control the collective West, there's little hope for meaningful ties with them.

Since 2014, we should have partnered with Ukraine and obtained Antonov An-70's rights to replace our Il-76s instead of going for the C-17 and C-130s before all this shitstorm started. This way we could have gotten a full-blown design and assembly capability in the last 7-8 years for large transport aircraft. It would have given us a significant degree of autonomy.

If not this, we could have gone for the Airbus A400M 'Atlas' to replace ILs. A European option might not have been a strategic one, but it would have kept us less dependent and also gained more goodwill with France.

Now, we are stuck between political autonomy and strategic interests.

India and Iran may soon begin exploratory talks on resumption of bilateral trade in items such as crude oil and fertilisers . High level team from Iran soon to visit india . looks like iran usa talks going ahead .

About bloody time. Stopping trade with them was a big problem and screwed us over as China lapped up all the gas and oil from there for cheap. Instead, we paid a higher price for no visible benefits.

Not really sure about this because Israel would have done something pre-test.
That was my intial reaction as well but someone linked me an article which more or less said that Iran was taking precautions against an Israeli & US attack

LONDON, July 19 (Reuters) - The National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) and Russian gas producer Gazprom (GAZP.MM) signed on Tuesday a memorandum of understanding worth around $40 billion, Iran's oil ministry's news agency SHANA said.

The deal was signed during an online ceremony by the CEOs of both companies on the day Russian President Vladimir Putin arrives in Tehran for a summit with his Iranian and Turkish counterparts.

Gazprom will help NIOC in the development of the Kish and North Pars gas fields and also six oil fields, according to SHANA. Gazprom will also be involved in the completion of liquefied natural gas (LNG) projects and construction of gas export pipelines.

Iran sits on the world’s second-largest gas reserves after Russia, but U.S. sanctions have hindered access to technology and slowed development of gas exports.

What do you think will happen in iran ? I think the regime will brutally crush the movement.

yea but memories are building up
since a lot of Iranians have give up on Islamic republic but they aren't the majority with the gun so they aren't going to win time being.
Already 30+ killed....al depends upon Iranians if they are determined to overthrow Mullah regime
nothing will happen these protests happen every year ,the general mindset in islamic countries is to migrate to west no revolution will happen whatsoever
This is a color revolution attempt, the last time this AZADEH AZADEH happened in ~2019 over increasing petrol prices, mullahs crushed it and everything was back to normal.

Eran has a lot of enemies including US and Israel who support rebel groups within like the Azeri and Kurd seperatists, Mojaheddin -e- Khalq( a commie group active during the shah's time, but mullahs stole the kursi from them ).
University of Tehran is a hotbed of AZADEH, AZADEH protestors.

The only way a proper flip will be seen is when the police/paramilitary/army grunts switch over to the "rebels" side.

Punishment for sending Shahed loitering drones to Russia I guess.

Don't know what is the color of this revolution.
Precisely.
In todays day no mass-protest is spontaneous, it all is controlled by those who glow in the dark plus local proxies and (((allies))).

What nonsense is this lol. Had it been some economic protest the govts decision would have made sense. Instead they are literally fighting with the public for some stupid ass reason.

They can always allow non hijab clothes and later catch the protesters who destroyed stuff instead they are busy fighting for something so trivial.
