The player auction for the 2010 Indian Premier League has begun in Mumbai.
In early deals, Kieron Pollard joined Mumbai for $750,000 (£456,500) and fellow West Indian Kemar Roach went to Deccan for $720,000 (£438,000).
South African fast bowler Wayne Parnell went to the Delhi Daredevils for $610,000 (£371,300).
Eoin Morgan will join fellow England batsman Kevin Pietersen at the Royal Challengers after they bid $220,000 (£133,000) for his services.
Kolkata Knight Riders secured New Zealand paceman Shane Bond for $750,000 (£456,500).
England's Graeme Swann is one of three players to have attracted the highest base price of $250,000 (£153,000) for Tuesday's auction.
Swann, Australia's Brad Haddin and Pakistan's Shahid Afridi topped the list, however all remained unsold after the first round of bidding.
Surrey and former England star Mark Ramprakash is valued at $200,000 (£121,700).
The deals for Pollard and Bond were decided by a newly-introduced tiebreaker rule.
Pollard attracted $750,000 bids from four franchises - Mumbai, the Chennai Super Kings, Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata.
The four bidders were asked to make silent bids on paper within five minutes. IPL Commissioner Lalit Modi received them and made announced the winner.
Kolkata went into a tiebreak with the Deccan for Bond.
The silent bid amount exceeding the base price is not disclosed. The excess money - more than the franchisees limit of $750,000 spending - goes to IPL and not the player.
IPL III starts on 12 March and ends on 25 April. England play two Tests in Bangladesh from 12-24 March.
Only four non-Indians are permitted to feature in each playing XI, with eight in each squad.
In all, 66 overseas players are vying for only 12 spots - though that could rise as some teams are in the process of buying out some of the contracts of existing overseas players in their squads.
Jonathan Trott and Tim Bresnan (both $100,000), Anthony McGrath, Monty Panesar and Rob Key (all $50,000) complete the list of English players up for auction.
Australian Adam Gilchrist steered Deccan Chargers to victory over Royal Challengers Bangalore by six runs in last year's IPL final in Johannesburg, staged in South Africa because of security concerns.
But this year's tournament returns to India, where it was won in its inaugural year by the unfancied Rajasthan Royals.
All the players bought from Tuesday auction in Mumbai will be given a one-year contract valid until 31 December which will also cover a Champions League Twenty20 tournament later this year.
