DRDO initially offered 5.56×45 chambered Carbine. Then army complaint about sound, flash and recoil and asked to develop small round. JVPC developed with 5.56×30 misas but now goal post changed.

It's been more than 30 years since UN Generals couldn't decide what type/barrels gun they need.
They want foren maal, plain and simple. For example, why is there even a need for the AK203 when the TAR exists ?

They'll continue to ignore these too

I believe, foot soldiers should be provided best weapons. this not an issue for me. Problem is UN Generals who are crystal clear about requirements when it's come to foreign and become comatose when it's come to local.

UN Generals are batting for Caracal carbine hence punishing it's substitutes as usual.

Previously UN Generals fooled DRDO by giving interchangeable rifle gun requirement but eventually settled for AK203 and Sig

India need "Ammunition theatre command" to supply ever large different type of ammunition to soldiers on front.
