No need for design changes even... Better to simply scale-up a bit to 50k ton.

i dont think so it would becom obselete soon we dont have to worry about sailing to pacific ocean anyways these carriers are supposed to be a defensive ship

agreed but we dont have options so best possible thing is vikrant repeat order in the mean time work on the sub systems of a nuclear carrier and when iac 2 is ready iac 3 order should be placed to replace the vikramaditya timeline= 2035 or so

We have already received the offer of Design Assistance from US, UK, Russia and France. We should evaluate the proposal and incorporate best of it in our new design. We generally make one AC in 2 decades so we should put our best efforts in design. Knowledge so acquire will remain for ever and will help us designing AC-3.

i guess its the so called sin of asking more we operated 20000tons carrier then 45000 now we look for 65000 then when 65000 would come we would ask for 100000tons in this we forget that the cbg and cag needs to get advanced as well we can create a 65000 carrier but till 2030 our cbg would be primarily lacking support ship,heavy destroyers ,subsystems which are under construction
either ways admiral has quoted 2049 for navy to be 100% indian so i accept 250-300 ships and 5 carriers with 2 vikrant class ,3 heavier class so we got time

Very valid point. We should design it with F-18, Rafale -M and ORCA accommodation in it with some margin still left for incorporation of changes.

First of all, in no case we are going to get next AC by 2030. It will be 2035 in best case scenario.

We will have sufficient ships to form a battled group with support ships including destroyers to support AC when new AC comes by 2035. We shall be adding at least 100 potent boats in our arsenal in next 12 to 15 years.

You just cannot say anything for the sake of saying. Explain how Vikrant's design will be obsolete in a decade while it's possibly best after R08 & 9 in existence among all large STOBARS built till date. There has been a lot of changes since this aircraft carrier was designed and if 2011 engineering is obsolete for late 2020s, every aircraft carrier design in the world is effectively obsolete.
