Assuming a second Vikrant will be ordered . Do you guys think that certain things will be redesigned..
Like elevator and aviation complex ?
For sure, IN loves to iterate and redesign - heck even the same class of ships have differences and improvements. From the very beginning, in the Leanders, the sister ships were all individually different.

Nah, Valor is too small. Half the Mtow of V22

v22 payload is good , can even be used for mid air refueling.
Then how V22 can be folded and stowed and carried through lifts? IIRC, it is too big for the lifts.

And that is the not the main issue. The main issue is radar coverage with the huge turboprops in the way. From Quora:

"Besides, putting a good airborne radar on the Osprey would be highly problematic. Assuming we put the radar antenna on top like the AWACS, with the V-22’s nacelles rotated so the rotors are forward, the radar would have to look through the rotor disc. That would be hugely problematic. The E-2 solves this problem by extending the radar dish upward over two feet so it looks over the E-2’s props. The V-22’s rotors are huge and the radar dish would have to extend upward much too high to be practical. In any event, when the nacelles are rotated vertically for landing or takeoff, the rotors would shred the radar antenna. So a top mounted radar antenna would be out of the question.

V-22 is quite chonky and will eat hanger space even if lifts clear them.

That's why we should buy Rafale.

Rafale is 15m long vs 18m of F-18

So as per rough guestimate , We might be able to put 18 Rafales in the space of 15 F-18SH.

Vikrant could carry 30 planes.
5-6 V22 some refueler ,some awacs. Dump kamov.
20+ Rafale seems a good power punch.

Rafale M to be deployed on INS Vikrant

Dassault Aviation, the maker of Rafale, is confident that Rafale M will be suitable for the Indian Navy’s warship INS Vikrant. Rafale M is still being used by the armies of Greece, Indonesia and UAE.

The interesting thing is that the Indian Navy has rejected the American fighter jet F/A-18 Super Hornet. Both fighter jets were trialled by the Navy earlier this year. A detailed report of this trial was submitted to the Defence Ministry of India in December. Both fighter jets were tested at INS Hansa, a naval base in Goa.

That news article is so rife with errors. For instance, it says there are 240 Rafale-Ms in the French Navy. There were only 46 Rafales Ms delivered to the French Navy. A total of 240 Rafales include the Ms have been produced.
