probably this one is the older design, the model inside the glass looks more refined then this artwork. Also looks different.
This is a immature art model but the Deck configuration is very correct..

The hull is very strange it shows Stealth deign, This was not in any model before..

Kunal sir best part is that they are so confident of this first AC that they have floated it before completion. This shows confidence of our first AC design.

IAC 2 has to be Nuclear powered, EM CATOBAR and 60,000 tonnes. Let them take 10 more years to build it, two AC's are more than adequate until 2025.

Any idea on the progress of the IAC 2. Is it still on the design board?

making the IAC2 nuclear powered will double the cost of the the AC. plus we don't need a nuclear powered AC as we will mostly be operating in the Indian ocean region only, US needs nuclear ACs because they operate far away from their home bases for extended periods of time plus US carriers are massive which makes sense to have nuclear reactors. EMALS is still developmental and not operationally tested for example the effect it would have on all the electrical systems of the ship is not known for certain. best option would be to continue building ACs after IAC2 and building them progressively larger with better capabilities. when we have better support assets and we should then build a nuclear aircraft carrier.

Pro for nuclear:
1) The oil price will only rise in the foreseeable future: e.g. compared to 10 years ago, instead 1 or 2 years ago
2) India got its own uranium supply, rich and steady
3) An AC average life is no less than 40~50 years. We are talking about one AC officer will see his/her grandson/daughter serve on the same ship. Who knows the geopolotic scenario? This IAC2 may even need to serve as far as Antarctica or Oceania.
4) If confirmed it's the ultimate solution, with Vikramaditya and Vikrant, one such ship for test & operation practice is required. It's almost certain India can NOT purchase a nuclear one.

Con:
1) It's more secured to do it, step by step -- why not see Arihant (II) ready and perform well -- if
2) IOR is really the focus in next 40 years, no more beyond, then conventional one will be enough. Partly why British never dream it.
3) Another long learning curve before even IAC1 set and learned

Quick writing...

Umm I want to know that whether that portion of this AC,( unbuilt) will be a flat one like those of U.S carriers or it will be curved like that of Viraat?
