V22 could've been best bet for Stobar Vikrant , but lift width..

V-22's width is <6m when folded.
Length isn't an issue either, the distance between the refuelling probe and the rear wheel set is <<14m.

Its arse can hang, thanks to the sea-facing elevators.

For sure, IN loves to iterate and redesign - heck even the same class of ships have differences and improvements. From the very beginning, in the Leanders, the sister ships were all individually different.

Then how V22 can be folded and stowed and carried through lifts? IIRC, it is too big for the lifts.

And that is the not the main issue. The main issue is radar coverage with the huge turboprops in the way. From Quora:

Rafale is 15m long vs 18m of F-18

So as per rough guestimate , We might be able to put 18 Rafales in the space of 15 F-18SH.

Vikrant could carry 30 planes.
5-6 V22 some refueler ,some awacs. Dump kamov.
20+ Rafale seems a good power punch.

That news article is so rife with errors. For instance, it says there are 240 Rafale-Ms in the French Navy. There were only 46 Rafales Ms delivered to the French Navy. A total of 240 Rafales include the Ms have been produced.
