Why did Navy take trials of the Rafale M? Because Dassault is proposing a wing tip unscrewing method for fitting in the elevators. Which they havent developed and want IN to fund. Ergo, not happening.
First of all these are just speculations that Rafale wings doesn't fit in elevators.
They want IN to fund wing folding?? Do you know even what are you saying?? This is called single vendor situation. Tender will be cancelled ins such situation.
And poor strategic thinking?
I would kindly advise you to look at the history of acquisitions in India. First 18 Su30Ks, lease from RuAF. First 20 Jaguars As, lease from the RAF. First 18 Vampires, first squadron of Hunters - all on lease.
HELL, even now we are operating 2 Sea Guardians on lease. Blind much? or deliberately ignorant?
These were not lease Guru. This is special arrangements.
Guru, If Rafale can't be delivered as per IN requirement then they would have denied the participation in tender. Guru, when you release a RFI you also specify certain requirements after that you take trials.
Buying strategic weapons from a country which have CAATSA for you, is not smart strategic thinking.
2 Sea Guardian are not strategic weapons they are more for China under QUAD arrangment.
So don't compare offensive weapons like fighter jets with supportive weapons.
