Simply if the navy wants Boeing aircraft they should only consider the older and smaller airframe legacy Hornet that fits on both the carrier lifts with an elevated nose stand assembly with cockpit and avionics upgraded to satisfactory standards and wait for the Twin engined Tejas to get a production line and get commissioned. Otherwise we stick with the MIG-29 K and stop wasting the crew and the public's time with training on a another Aircraft with choice of upgrading the current MIG-29 K fleet for an upbeat 20 year plan till the next aircraft carrier class is commissioned. In the mean time I want another Vikrant class (Viraat 2?) to be made.

Does he meant Twin seater NLCA?
Here is a Paneer tikka journalist or defense expert. If one can imagine all possible scenarios till 2050 his statement fits nowhere.
1) There is no twine engine LCA
2) LCA- navy has been rejected by the Navy long ago so no question of 8 LCA but the trainer is a possibility
3) TEDBF is medium category jet
4) TEDBF will be operated in large quantity, In fact, will replace all Mig-29k

Instead, This Paneer Tikka journalist must ask to IN when are they going to release their 40% share fund for TEDBF as they did for Mig-29k development?
