Bangalore has more Grade-A office space than Singapore, is it anywhere close to it? GIFT is a Central Business District being built from scratch and is still performing great compared to established tech-hubs. Many projects are under construction and is filling up faster than last decade.
I am pretty sure Gujarat's Dholera and GIFT city will be filled to the bream by 2040. Why you may ask? Gujarat is already business friendly state coupled with access to sea through Mundra port. The upcoming Jamnagar green complex by Reliance and Vedanta semiconductor fab will give a huge boost to both Dholera and GIFT. Gujarat should now enact policies for electronics manufacturing. Let them focus on Hardware where as South focuses on Software. In addition throw in the manufacturing of machine tools for industries. Mumbai is already saturated. The next growth Engine will definitely be in Dholera and GIFT.

Mumbai's growth will transfer to Navi Mumbai and Thane like Delhi's growth got transferred to Gurugram and Noida.

GIFT has seen a boom in new project launches in past 18 months, won't be surprised by the end of this decade we'll have more than a dozen new operational commercial buildings and dozens under construction.

It's good that an expansion of a city is being done in a planned manner. But looking at videos out of GIFT it seems that a lot more development needs to happen there before they think of expansion. Some random IT parks in Blore Hyderbad have more office floorspace than GIFT right now.
There has been a sudden opening of many new business in GIFT and in next 4-5 years many new buildings will get finished.
It along with Dholera needs 1-2 decades to fully grow into independent cities.

This is how street level infra should be built which is missing in Indian cities. This was built when Sri Lanka was a $4000 or something GDP Per capita upper-middle income country. Nothing difficult in replicating these. In such methods, wide roads, pavements and cleanliness can be maintained.

Else in Indian method, footpaths are made-up of concrete blocks, with greenery seperating the road and footpath. Nobody maintains the greenery and the garden becomes a source of dust which accumulates on the streets and the fragile footpaths break apart easily giving war-torn aesthetics to our urban areas.
Even basic urban planning is seriously lacking in India. I recently visited Cambodia which on a per capita basis is poorer than India but has a much better urban infrastructure.

Another good example is Philippines. Their GDP per capita is more or less the same as India and their cities(like Manila) are far more denser per sq km than any Indian city(including Mumbai/Delhi) but still look a lot better.

Many improvements can be made
First, as you said all the edges of the roads need to be paved, either make a proper footpath or grow some low maintenance grass/ ornamental trees that will hold the soil/dust in place. IMO, this alone will dramatically improve the aesthetics and reduce pollution.

Second, all the open sewers/nalas at road edges need to be covered period.

Third, all the stray dogs, cats and monkeys need to be dealt with. Sterilizing is too expensive, put them up for adoption, if they cant be adopted then they just need to be put down humanely. Some solution needs to be thought about cows too.

Lastly, garbage collection and disposal needs to be improved. Indore is a good example of this. No reason why Mumbai and Delhi cant do it with much bigger budgets.

Local municipalities are the biggest dens of corruption. The need to be held accountable, no other way out.

If Yogi really transforms UP then BJP will have solid reputation as development oriented party. Right now Gujarat is the only state they can claim they have truly transformed. However, their haters will always claim Gujarat was always developed because of it's enterprising people and simply mock their achievements. Transforming a huge and chaotic state like UP will have a bearing on neighboring states like Bihar, MP, Jharkhand and even Delhi. It will take something like 15 years to see a tangible change in UP since it a big state with huge population. However, the speed at which Yogi is going I won't be surprised if real changes are seen sooner than expected. Agra metro, Noida airport, Ayodhya city, religious tourism, express ways the only missing piece is blue collar jobs like in the area of textiles, toy manufacturing etc. I hope Yogi goes full speed on it.

Gujarat was already getting transformed under Chimanbhai Patel due to his pro corporate pro trade policy. Modi just benefitted from his legacy. Even the Adani ports, Reliance refinery, Sardar sarovar dam, power plants are the brainchild of Chimanbhai and are contributing towards Gujarat economy to a great extent today.

Indian Railways has issued letter of award (LOA) to TMH, the Russian rolling stock company, to start the necessary preparation for making 120 rakes at Latur.

"With the issue of this LOA , the contract stands concluded", the letter issued on March 29 by the Railway Stores Executive Director stated.

TMH-RVNL which quoted Rs 120 cr price per train is the lowest bidder in the just concluded tendering process for manufacturing of Vande Bharat trains with Sleeper coaches while Titagarh-BHEL quoting nearly Rs 140 cr per train is the second lowest bidder. Till now Vande Bharat trains are operational with seating arrangement.

Titagarh-BHEL consortium, which had quoted a higher price than TMH-RVNL, was also communicated by the Railways to lower the price as a counter offer.

According to sources, both the bidders have accepted the offer and will soon communicate to the Railways.

Now TMH-RVNL has to deposit Rs 200 cr and Titagarh-BHEL to deposit Rs 160 cr as performance guarantee bond with the Railways as the next step in the Vande Bharat project worth Rs 50,000 cr with 35 years of maintenance provision.

The Vande Bharat with Sleeper facility will have one First AC, three Second AC and 11 Third AC coaches.

The ergonomically designed driver trailer coach at the front and rear side will be a Divyang-friendly facility.

According to sources, the interior panels and Sleeper berths of the Vande Bharat will be provided by Tata Steel as both Titagarh and TMH are in talks with Tata to finalise the job.

Tata Steel (New Materials Business) has an existing purchase order from ICF for Seats in 22 Vande Bharat Rakes with total worth of Rs 145 cr and interiors for 16 Vande Bharat Rakes at a total order value of Rs 79 cr.

Tata New Materials Business has been having encouraging discussions with both TMH and Titagarh to be the complete interior solutions brand partner.

"We are trying for further orders for such Seats and Berths at competitive rates and working with the Railways to improve the specifications and quality to international standards based on Tata's worldwide supply capability for vehicles in all budget and luxury segments and collaborations with Indian and international partners," said a senior official of Tata Group.

So, at this moment TMH doesn't have an EMU bogie on their catalogue that can do 160 km/hr. So will they use existing ICF T18 design and mass manufacture? Or design a new bogie in 1 year?

Gujarat was a power deficit state when Modi took over. So what industrialization you are talking about? Gujarat was just like any other state during Socialist era and during 1990's. Previous chief ministers might have planned many things but the successors executing and carrying on the momentum is also an important one. Case in point NDA -1 under Vajpayee. Vajpayee gave a splendid economic performance from 1998-2004 by reducing inflation, making economic reforms, 65 million jobs created in 6 years, infrastructure like golden quadrilateral, PSU's performing well, decent GDP growth and then came corrupt UPA and the rest is history.

Before Yogi, Mayawati planned lots of the projects under her reign.. The development of Noida and Greater Noida was planned under her, Yamuna Expressway ( earlier known as Taj Expressway ) was also done under her. Even Ganga Expressway was supposed to started under her time but got cancelled due to stay order from Court on enviromental reasons.
