They wasted precious time which could’ve been utilised for Delhi-Ahmedabad corridor when ultimate goal is to connect Delhi with Mumbai.
There is no contract for Delhi-Ahmedabad. Mumbai-Ahmedabad is hopefully back on track and will be complete by 2026 (dream: 2024). Then we can talk of Delhi-Mumbai, Delhi-Benares, Benares-Patna, Patna-Guwahati, Patna-Howrah etc

Trans Haryana expressway was stuck for more than a year just because one village didn't sell their land at one end of the expressway in haryana.

same with EDFC, there is a single line at starting point because of land acquisition issues in punjab.

Why dead. If Chenab bridge can be make then why not bullet train on this route. Only matters is what condition you required.

Delhi Varanasi route is not dead. Only the current feasibility report has been rejected. The path chosen was not straight enough.
Center will surely ask for the report to be made again with better route alignment.
