A parallel taxiway is a ridiculous idea at current Patna. They should convert the existing airport in Patna into a heliport and make a new airport outside the city. The existing area is just enough for an A320 to make a stop. If for some reason the aircraft does not come to a halt, it will plow right outside the airport into civilian areas.@IndianYonko @Bhumihar
The old airport of Patna is crumbling with pressure it cannot handle the increasing air passenger traffic and the proposed 2nd International airport in Bihta is facing problems in land acquisition because of vote bank politics as it requires to displace a Muslim Village and a mosque
If Bihar state government fails to acquire land in Bihta it would be better to shift the airport to Chhapra and Connect Chhapra and Patna with Metro and Expressway
