I don't think India should build any supertalls anymore. In fact, building any building with 350m+ height should be cancelled.Bangladesh is building a 460m Skyscraper called The Legacy tower.
Don't know about that but here is a Good articleDo anyone know what percent of our coal fired thermal plants are ultra supercritical. And can syngas be used for ultra supercritical thermal plants
We barely have anything to be called a proper skyscraper let alone a supertall. Mumbai and Delhi will continue to grow and they should be growing vertical instead of using precious land we don't have citing archaic things like "Air traffic problem". The next gen of fighter aircraft are going to be optionally manned. Aviation technology have moved a lot forword. Its not like Hong Kong, NY, Dubai, Shanghai etc. don't have aircrafts flying.anymore
More economic and technological city clusters should be expanded then. One city under pressure and growing population can't bear pressure or deliver as much growth as a couple of megacities and SEZs will provide. We barely have anything to be called a proper skyscraper let alone a supertall. Appreciate your response, i have to look up coal to liquid tech now. I agree we are not using our domestic coal to its full potential. Maybe current crisis is an opportunity in disguise like the pandemic was.Don't know about that but here is a Good article
India can save almost Rs 9,000 cr a year by shutting old thermal power plants, study says
According to New Delhi-based CEEW, closing down old plants, which consume more coal than new ones, can help reduce greenhouse-gas emissions, clean up air and reduce soil & water pollution.theprint.in
Also i think time has come to block Imported coal fully. Convince coal producing states to reduce royalty substantially so that Imported coal becomes redundant.
One Thing which i want Govt. to pursue is CTL (Coal to liquid tech). India has enough coal to fully substitute crude oil imports. Yes it is CO2 intensive but we can handle that later. Crude Oil demand will reduce only after 2030 (God Knows) , and requirement of Petrochemicals will remain for foreseeable future. CTL plants with 20 to 25 life can do wonders to reduce dependence on Middle East Sheiks.

These are few under construction Skyscrapers exceeding 400 mtrs.
Ya'll Nibbiars this project is going on the slow pace and aready delayed by many years. Sad to see that USBRL is going so slow. It either time to change the contractor or review the projects.Important project progressing well. Deadline is 2024
RISHIKESH - KARANPRAYAG RAILWAY Line. Unlike USBRL,this one is being constructed at brisk pace and without much brouhaha. Its tough keeping up with this project Pkg2 (18 to 33kms- L&T): Tunnel No 02 (6460m).
Rishikesh-Karnaprayag rail line Package-4 (47 to 63kms) -L&T. The star pkg of the line as it involves the longest rail tunnel in India(14.5 kms) near Devprayag.Out of 14.5 kms,10.4 kms wil b bored using TBM and rest by http://NATM.Pics of NATM work
World one is 260, Omkar says 300, not sure. Diamond says 400 but is there any news about it!? Its doubtful that its going to be built.Gift Diamond Tower-1.

Mumbai is a port city with enough low skilled and high skilled population, an established economic, manufactuing and logistic centre. A company looking to set up something can get everything form a single city. Its hard to develop new cities. We are building some and lets see how it goes. Meanwhile Mumbai should grow vertical. There is no valid justification why it should not.More economic and technological city clusters should be expanded then. One city under pressure and growing population can't bear pressure or deliver as much growth as a couple of megacities and SEZs will provide.
Ya'll Nibbiars happening but not at the quoted cost of 75 crores will surely cost more than 200 crores. This happening?
