SkyTran (now an Indian company after acquisition by RIL) will be launched for trials in 2 to 3 years in Bangalore and USA.

Cong asks for credit for projects completed by BJP govts because the latter usually don't outright scrap development projects initiated by prev govts. Congress when in power doesn't build anything and stops as many ongoing projects as possible, just so the opposition can't reverse Uno them.

Stop exaggerating. The metro construction is being done by RVNL, a central govt PSU. And the delays are due land acquisition issues and definitely not construction pace.

In terms of public transportation, Kolkata is the best among all metro cities (with only Mumbai in contention).

For context, Kolkata didn't build a single km of Metro when Momota and Dinesh Trivedi were railway ministers. It took the BJP to come to power and actually get new metro lines opened in the city for the first time in 40 years.

One has to pay minimum 300 rupees for 1 km taxi ride in Kolkata because 50% Bhada goes to Union Gundas.

I think the 300 rupees is for the dents they inevitably acquire enroute, from other taxis nonchalantly bumping into them to nudge them forward in traffic. is that still standard practice there? It's such a uniquely Kolkata phenomenon. Never witnessed something like it anywhere else.

Some 10 such busses on each route that will take you to different parts of the city, so at most you will need to change one bus.

-Plenty of taxi services the yellow ones are almost gone now replaced by ola Uber
- Local train will take you through the old city.
- Metro would have been completed on time of Mamta was not there.
-Auto on almost every non posh areas.
-Traffic police actually do their job.
-Lots of car Rental services.
-Lots of Flyovers decongesting busy route.
