Those unplanned dwarf buildings you see in the pictures must be razed to the ground and the people should be compensated. New buildings should be built on those land instead. This has to happen in all our cities. Otherwise our cities will be exactly like fire torch. Expanding horizontally has killed our green cover in our cities. I want to see more tall buildings but nothing like Hong Kong ant hills but tall enough like 20-25 floors and more trees in our Urban landscape.

Ya'll Nibbiars there is a thing Called Private Property, People develop private land themselves depending on the demand and supply not on whim of some one like the Mleechas. Plans are there development will happen as per the market, no need for the Mleechas style property crashes. Many of those are under going the Cluster Development policy. And some will be be preserved which are historically significant above the A grade, and other like B and below will simply vanish.

Diwala nikal jayega if you even think of compensating the private properties. That's why there is a thing called Redevelopments and Cluster Developments. This are private properties not some jhopad patis. And Mumbai is the witness to the country largest redevelopment happening unlike some cities which are seeing increase in jhopad paties and illegal colonies.

Ya'll Nibbiars Because the Thailand don't have Mleechas style development with Ghost Cities. The future is community centric development not the Soviet style apartment blocks. Throwing Private property owners is not the way. And even the jhopat pati get housing at the same location, then why throw those who are paying the property taxes for decades. No one can afford to compensate them at the market rate. No one can afford the Ready Reckoner of that area, that's why there is something like Redevelopment and Cluster Development. Right to property Act is now even implemented in the Mleechas desh.
