Ya'll Nibbiars The Matheran becomes the first town in India to be free of Combustion Engine Vehicles. No ICE vehicles are allowed inside the town. And the Ricksaws are Electric ones. This E Rickshaws will replace 500 horse drawn ricksaws currently used in the Matherans. The 5 firms owned by local peoples have applied for 500 ricksaw licenses. And from now no Trucks with ICE would be allowed in the town. The E Rickshaws will be used for the end deliverys. The HC given premission for the use of Ricksaw at The Matheran after a carefully study by a Comitte of the Experts.

I disagree. It is a great way to wean ourselves off the fossil fuel dependence. Let us see how this pans out. We need to experiment with alternative solutions to fossil fuels. Besides going this route will ensure that the local populace would want better electrical power transmission and infrastructure and set the tone for better power transmission.

Yes but I pay virtually nothing except when i run the pool heater during winter. Saves me money in the long run.

Nope.. 20 years expiry date doesn't mean the solar panels capacity wanes down to zero. It will still be operable at 70-80%

The interchange geometry looks so much better than whatever the 10iq NHAI babus can come up with. I wonder why NHAi still refuses to design their new "expressways" properly when somehow state expressway depts can do that
