The Yamuna Expressway industrial development authority (Yeida) along with the Gautam Budh Nagar district administration will rejuvenate at least 116 ponds, which are in a bad shape due to encroachments along 165km Yamuna Expressway, authority officials said on Monday.

The move comes after instructions from the Uttar Pradesh government to revive them at the earliest, sources added. Earlier, the state government had directed the Noida authority to identify and rejuvenate ponds in order to recharge the groundwater table during the rainy season, officials added.

“We have directed the land department to profile the 116 ponds properly so that we can start the rejuvenation process of these waterbodies. The land department will coordinate with the administration to carry out the rejuvenation work,” said Arun Vir Singh, chief executive officer (CEO), Yeida.

The Yeida controls 96 villages in which it has identified land for planned development along the Yamuna Expressway that connects Greater Noida with Agra. The ponds are located in these 96 villages that fall in Gautam Budh Nagar and Bulandshahr districts.

The Yeida has also notified around 250,000 hectares of land for the planned development along Yamuna Expressway, out of which around 20,000 hectares have been already acquired, an authority official said.

The ponds have been dying a slow death because groundwater is depleting very fast in the region due to infrastructural works. Some of these ponds have been encroached upon and almost all have depleted water level, said officials.

“We have directed the land department that if needed, they can take help from the district administration and remove all encroachments to rejuvenate the waterbodies. We will also try to engage villagers in the process so that the ponds stay free of encroachments in the future,” CEO Singh added.

Accelerating the logistics revolution in the state, a mega logistical hub is slated to come up at Kanpur for cargo handling.
It would be the fourth logistical hub in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
The Multi Modal Logistics Park (MMLP) at Kanpur will be developed by the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL), a wholly owned company of Ministry of Railways.
The other three logistics hub are coming up at Dadri, including one developed by Container Corporation of India (CONCOR) and two to be developed by National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation and Adani Group.
Kanpur MMLP
The Kanpur MMLP will come up at New Kanpur Station along the EDFC corridor.
The Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor (EDFC) from Ludhiana to Sonnagar (1,337 km) is one of the two freight corridors being developed by the Indian Railways for the exclusive movement of goods trains at a high speed.

Plan of Kanpur MMLP

DFCCIL has procured 70-hectare land in Hathipur, Maharajpura and Tilsaharibujurg villages in Kanpur Nagar for constructing the logistics hub.
The hub which is being developed under ‘Gati Shakti Multimodal Cargo Terminal (GCT) ‘policy of Railways will handle 15 million goods annually.
It is expected that the integrated logistics facility at Kanpur would help in reducing the overall logistics cost in the supply chain for the customer.
This would be achieved by leveraging the modern, efficient, high capacity rail connectivity of the DFCs capable of meeting sensitive freight transportation requirement.
The logistic hub at Kanpur will also boost the UP government's one district one product initiative.
Reducing Logistics Cost
The MMLPs come equipped with inter-modal connectivity and inter-modal freight handling, warehouses, cold storages, custom bonded area and support facilities.
As such, they provide one stop solution and reduce transportation costs, inventory handling costs and substantially resolve inefficiencies present in the logistics ecosystem.
By serving as logistics hubs, MMLPs are expected to enable a shift in logistics network from traditional point to point to hub and spoke model.
In a hub and spoke model, MMLPs act as centralised hubs for receipt and dispatch of goods to and from smaller locations called spokes.
Goods from companies (spokes) are collected at MMLPs (hub) transported over long distances to destination location through larger trucks/trains.
At destination, another hub MMLP receives goods and sends them out to various nearby locations (the spokes) for consumption.

They are building fast but without the proper machines as machines means energy and they have to pay for it. So clearly where 2 or machines are needed to setup these panels and stress test, they are just using maybe 1 machine to set these panels up. This is the problem I have with this ramp technique:
- they build these walls first and then throw mud and sand in there to fill it up. And then roads are laid on top. But when large vehicles drive on these roads, the weight of the load pushes the sand downward and it tries to expand and pushes these walls outwards. So if the side panels are not firmly put in place to withstand that pressure, they will bulge out like it is happening here. So the entire load assessment, the way side panels are set up etc all seem to be misengineered. Clearly there is a problem with lack of technical knowledge or we are using some outdated ramp building technologies.

The 14.9km long stretch of the Grand Trunk (GT) Road -- from Gyani border near Delhi’s Dilshad Garden border to Lal Kuan near Gautam Budh Nagar border in Ghaziabad -- will be redeveloped by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and the work is likely to start in January, officials in the know of the matter said on Monday.
While the initial cost of the project was estimated at ₹125 crore in June this year, it was later revised to ₹550 due to the inclusion of construction flyovers, foot-over-bridges and drainage systems. The work will be completed in three phases, officials further said.

The GT Road stretch from Gyani border to Lal Kuan is a busy thoroughfare that handles traffic from Sahibabad, trans-Hindon areas, Mohan Nagar, Hapur Road, Meerut Road, Ghanta Ghar, Ghaziabad railway station, Chaudhary Morh, besides National Highway 9.

The project has been conceived by Ghaziabad MP VK Singh, who is also the Union minister of state for road transport, highways and civil aviation.

The entire project spans three phases – 1.8km interchange between Lal Kuan and Delhi Meerut Expressway, thereafter a 3.6km stretch up to the end of Delhi Gate flyover, and finally, a 9.5km stretch up to Gyani border
“Once redeveloped, the section will have a flyover and underpasses, besides at-grade road improvements. The detailed project report has been prepared by consultants of NHAI and it will be sanctioned in a couple of days by NHAI headquarters. Thereafter, the work will go to the tendering stage. Takeover will be done by NHAI once the tenders are floated,” said Kuldeep Chauhan, representative from the office of MP Singh.

He said the redevelopment will involve the laying of sewer lines for proper drainage, besides construction of pedestrian pathways, foot-over-bridges and pathways for cyclists.

“The perineal congestion at the Delhi Gate flyover (Thakurdwara flyover) will be resolved with this project. We reiterate that all encroachments along the stretch will be completely removed. The work on the project is likely to start by the end of the year or January,” said Chauhan.
A joint inspection by the Uttar Pradesh public works department (PWD) and the NHAi and a drone survey were carried out this June, after which a proposal was sent by the PWD to NHAI to take over the stretch.

“The road is yet to be taken over by the NHAI and we have already sent our proposal to them. As that process is pending, the PWD is holding back on infrastructure improvement works along the stretch. The NHAI officials say they will take over the road once tenders are floated,” said an officer from PWD, who wished not to be named.

When contacted, NHAI’s project director Arvind Kumar declined comment on the project and said a response should be obtained from the office of Gen Singh.

Residents said travelling on the 14.9km stretch was a major burden for daily commuters and were happy that it was finally being redeveloped.

“There are long snarls on the Thakurdwara flyover and further towards Ghanta Ghar, Chaudhary Morh, the Daulatpura flyover and Lal Kuan. It is also one of the most polluted stretches in the city. However, city commuters will be a relieved lot when the project materialises. The residents were also promised a metro link from Mohan Nagar to Vaishali. But even that has not materialised,” said Akash Vashishtha, a city-based environmentalist.

Another one. Pajeet construction companies should be completely banned from building roads. Let the government pick 1 or 2 big local companies who can actually build roads with proper standards, and let foreign companies take the rest. Gadkari is hell bent on replacing the term "tofu-dreg" with pajeet-dreg. At least the chinks build a 100 proper bridges for every 1 that collapses.

Whenever I look at such videos, i wonder what the hell are people in the various road agencies even doing. And how is it that India's road building quality is not improving at all. Every week there is a basic viaduct collapsing, and most of them are due to shit materials and poor construction standards used.
My nibba, can you take your whining regarding "pajeetery" else where. I have seen too much retarded stuff on twitter and other other SM using the same iffy word. The word itself is from 4chan and is supposed to be extremely derogatory. And no it's not the same as the word "******", as the word "pajeet" is used in a way that is supposed to be derogatory as you did here. BTW, using "pajeet" for fellow people without making up one yourself is also "pajeet" behaviour.

What kind of logic is that?
Because she is aiding and abetting the slowing down of projects elsewhere in the nation and is a central accomplice in the atrocities against hindus. She does not deserve to be linked with any improvement or accomplishment. it is in the best interest of the nation that she be associated with decay, non performance, and backward way of doing things.

And in your thought process you might have left alone the NE and Sikkim.
