INDO - FRENCH JOINT TRAINING EXERCISE “SHAKTI – 2016”

The French Army contingent participating in Indo - French joint training Exercise “SHAKTI – 2016” arrived on 06 January 2016.Exercise SHAKTI-2016 is the seventh edition in the series of bilateral exercises under this banner. The joint exercise would focus on Counter Terrorism operations in the backdrop of semi-urban terrain under the United Nation Mandate and will end on 16 Jan 15.

INDO-FRENCH JOINT EXERCISE ‘EX SHAKTI 2016’

January 8, 2016
Indian and French Army troops participated in the opening ceremony of Indo-French Joint Training Exercise Exshakti16 today. They enthralled the viewers with an amazing display of acrobatics, pipe band and para jump. Troops from both the armies will train and exercise on Counter Terrorism Operations till 16 Jan 15.

I hope the lessons learned from these exercises which are more frequent with different partner nations will be ultimately put to use for our final mission in the region. It should be to get hold of our prize weapons from enemy forces.

INDO - FRENCH JOINT MILITARY EXERCISE CULMINATES The Indo - French joint military exercise - Exercise Shakti 2016, culminated today. The aim of the exercise which was was to achieve inter operability and acquaint each other with operational drills and procedures of counter terrorism operations and to enable both the armies to function with each in such situations was achieved successfully.
