NSG 2017-2018 procurement plan.

As per the NSG procurement plan, the National Security Guards are looking to induct a myriad of new technologies and equipment. The NSG officially has a requirement for a set number of equipment for this year which has been displayed on their site.

Small Arms:
The NSG is looking to procure around 270 SMGs which should probably be the MP5A5s, it'd be interesting to see how how this unfolds since the OEM, Heckler & Koch Gmbh is not willing to sell to any non-NATO country. The NSG also have a requirement for 829 pistols and 30 long range sniper rifles which would most probably be the Glock 17s and Barret M98Bs. There is also a requirement for anti materiel rifles and pump-action shotguns which weren't available in the NSG inventory, at least not publicly. In fact the only shotguns the NSG has been seen toting around are the Franchi SPAS-15, it is a known fact they were equipped with the SPAS-12 before. The requirement also calls for Cornershots to be procured. The NSG also wants disposable recoilless rifles of which only the AT4 comes to mind. The largest contract seems to be for 750 pieces of assault rifles, the NSG already has the SG553SB/LB and SG551SBs in service. Apart from these the NSG wants the simmunition training system which use marking cartridges for realistic training.

Optical Sights:
The NSG along with the weapons is also looking for optical sights to improve the lethality of the small arms bought. Passive night sights for the sniper rifles, holographic weapons sights and reflex sights are sought out. There is also a requirement for monocular night vision devices similar the AN/PVS-14 type NVDs used by the NSG. Apart from these, multipurpose binoculars and 20x binoculars along with Spotting Scopes for the sniper support teams are to be acquired as well. Body worn video system for recording missions undertook for latter training along with extension search mirrors for checking hard to get places for bombs and IEDs are also to be acquired. A requirement for 40 laser rangefinders is also there for the sniper support teams to accurately range targets at long distance.

Unmanned ground vehicles:
A plethora of UGVs are required by the NSG, amongst them the Israeli DOGO combat robot which is armed with a Glock 17 9mm pistol, the NSG requires two of these UGVs. The NSG also has a requirement for 2 wheeled day and night surveillance robot and a single heavy lift remotely operated vehicle (H-ROV) in 600 kg class capable of lifting 250kgs and dragging a car on plain road.
Support equipment:
The NSG has a requirement for 16 bomb suits, they already have MedEng EOD bomb suits at their disposal, either this is a follow on to the same suits or better EOD 10 suits is not know. Apart from the bomb suits itself their is a requirement for bomb blankets and explosive detectors. The NSG also has a requirement for 198 multipurpose assault ladders in it's inventory. Through the wall radars like the Israeli RO400 which are already in use with the Indian Army Para SF are also sought after by the NSG. A requirement for open circuit and closed circuit scuba gear is also there by the NSG.

Vehicles:
Vehicle requirements for the NSG are for 13 bulletprooof vehicles, 7 life support system ambulances, 7 recovery vehicles and Command & Control vehicles.
