Moon's 69.5°S latitude has circumference of ~ 3800 km / 360 Longitudes. = 10.6 km

Russia 43.5°E .
India 32.5°E

DISTANCE BETWEEN BOTH
11 * 10.6 = 117 KM

What's the endurance of our rover.

Just found out maximum distance travelled is 11km by USSR rover.
So it's impossible we could meet Luna25 110km far, that too at south pole.

These are not very advanced rockets

The Japs have done some serious out of the box scientific stuff, even tho their budget is not very great

Japanese indeed always introduce out of the box ideas and they have done same in space.

Still, it's a fact that Japanese rockets are derivatives of those in NASA.

I don't think it can be done by 2030.
The rocket CZ-10 is still in development. 2035-2040 would be possible.

Yah that was a bit annoying too I suppose because this is a landing, and that too a first ever at the lunar south Pole, it becomes a bit more annoying. Regardless of whether it was planned that way or not.

haha.. but i am happy. moon is going to be contested space soon. US , China are in advanced phase of literally planning permanent station in next two decades. Better for Russia and India to brush up too

Not the US and China planning together one hopes! India should also strive to be as independent as possible, on this type of technology.

That is actually a dated plan and mentioned in government's National Space Policy too. ISRO does have a summary of long term Moon & Mars manned landings and mining.

Honestly, India joining the American Artemis mission and placing a man on the moon before the Chinese is my pipe dream, but Alas .

If India wants to place flag on the moon - it shall need to keep focus on domestic roadmap in spite of Artemis roadmap. India joined Artemis (space agreement) not Artemiz moon program.

The timing of Russian's Luna-25 mission was deliberate. They did it intentionally to snatch the title from Chandrayaan-3 of reaching the Lunar South pole first.
