500 meters range. That's a long ass tether.I believe that the rover is tethered to the lander.

After 14 days of work, the activity of the solar energy-powered rover, is likely to slow down. During this time, it will be touch with the Lander Vikram that will relay data to ISRO. ISRO has no direct link with the rover.bull $hit .....it can directly communicate with lander & lander can directly communicate with earth
Dey....how many times I have to say it.....they have communication with the rover via lander.....it's sends data back to earth via lander in almost real time....After 14 days of work, the activity of the solar energy-powered rover, is likely to slow down. This doesn't work like thatPragyan can't communicate. It must return to Vikram and then relay info back to ground station.
The tether is only up to the ramp, after that it detached, the rover has two antannae over the solar panels500 meters range. That's a long ass tether.
Watch the CY-3 curtain raiser video again, you will understandAs Nation Celebrates, Chandrayaan-3's Lander-Rover Start Busy Day At Moon
The Chandrayaan-3 made its historic touchdown on the surface of the moon last evening, fulfilling the hopes of 1.4 billion people and putting India into the elite space club.www.google.com

touch here is metaphorical, it doesn't touch the lander, the connection between tho two would be wireless I assumeAfter 14 days of work, the activity of the solar energy-powered rover, is likely to slow down. During this time, it will be in touch with the Lander Vikram that will relay data to ISRO. ISRO has no direct link with the rover.
Stop reading r@ndi tv, instead read what ISRO said in their official websiteAs Nation Celebrates, Chandrayaan-3's Lander-Rover Start Busy Day At Moon

I said on my first post regarding this "As per news"Stop reading r@ndi tv, instead read what ISRO said in their official website
Could be.touch here is metaphorical, it doesn't touch the lander, the connection between tho two would be wireless I assume
"ass per newj" it is still evident that the rover communicates through the lander, wirelesslyI said on my first post regarding this "As per news"
I think what they meant was "will be in touch" meaning it will be communicating through lander.I said on my first post regarding this "As per news"
It does say though relay will commence at the end of the cycle. So I assumed."ass per newj" it is still evident that the rover communicates through the lander, wirelessly
it says, "during this time" not a word about relay only starting at the endIt does say though relay will commence at the end of the cycle. So I assumed.
Ok. I stand corrected.it says, "during this time" not a word about relay only starting at the end
